Gonzalo's POV

Time seemed to stretch endlessly as I paced the sterile hallways of the hospital. Each step echoed my restless worry, a constant reminder of the critical situation my father was in. I couldn't shake off the tormenting thoughts that this might be the last time I see him.

The flickering fluorescent lights overhead cast eerie shadows, adding to the heavy atmosphere. My eyes darted to the windows periodically, trying to find solace in the outside world, but the night offered no comfort. The darkness seemed to mirror the uncertainty that clouded my mind.
