Finding out my mate Mack came for me, was surprising. We made it where I didn’t have anyone to come back on, he promised he would watch over us until the royal family figured things out. I know faking his death was a bad thing, but I couldn’t let them think he was part of me taking our daughter away from them. I didn’t want him to get himself killed, so we staged his death.

I didn’t want her to know anything about this, I didn’t want to have to explain why we thought this would work out. He was going to come and take us away after he got her wolf, but she never did. As far as I could tell she wasn't going to make anything out of herself pack-wise.
