Lucas looked at Beatrice, and even though she had changed her identity and appearance, he felt a wave of recognition wash over him.

Even though Leo had assisted her in hiding behind inquisitive viewers, there was something in the depths of her stare that made him feel a familiar sorrow.

Memories of their previous talks with Leo filled his head, their conversations about Beatrice and the twins echoing in his mind, and his heart skipped a beat. His heart ached with confusion as he tried to make sense of the woman at the sight of him as well as the memories he had of her.
