Alpha Logan had returned to the pack when he heard that Alpha Jake had come to buy all the wagons from his father. What was he then doing going around the pack to inform Alphas if they were interested in getting wagons from him?

He had returned in rage thinking of why his father would have to sell the wagons to Jake of all people. If he was even going to sell all the wagons, he wouldn't give them to Jake not because he was holding any grudges against him, he just couldn't think of Jake owing all the thousands of wagons. It was frustrating. He never kneeled. Jake was that wise and he never knew his father would fall for his plans.

Now, Jake had said he was renting out the wagons, which he didn't want to do himself, Jake had finally gone over his rules.

"Where's the maid?" Alpha Logan inquired his gaze on Sarah who was still lying helplessly in the bed.

"I don't think she poisoned Sarah's water herself. I guess someone had used her as bait, I could detect."
