59 - The Final Day

"Haha." I laughed tastelessly with my heart in my throat after witnessing how she reacted to my condition.

'He said that because he didn't know that I was originally just a poor Omega living in a small colony. If she knew, there's no way she would act that way towards me.' My mind responded to the innkeeper.

"I will order my servants to guard your room, Your Highness," she said as I hurriedly grabbed my room key and couldn't bear to leave.

"No need," I replied with some force. "I want to rest alone tonight. Please do not disturb me."

She obediently agreed to my request. "Yes, Your Majesty."

As I walked up the stairs that led to the second floor of the inn, my long breaths accompanied me. So did my jumbled thoughts that did not allow me to rest even though I had escaped from the palace.

"Ha ... Looks like Frederick will be looking for me again tonight," I muttered weakly. The key I grabbed earlier, I used to open the door of a small, shabby inn room.
