Elora's POV

“That’s the pack physician, the one who was taking care of you all along,” Olivia said, reading my mind through my gaze. I nodded but then what he said kept ringing in my ear.

“Hanged? Who is being hanged?” I asked instead and watched him walk in.

“The pack seer. She’s been taken to the execution center and will be hanged.” He replied, frowning.

My eyes widened since I knew I was the reason she would be hanged. After all, she was the one who fed me that portion, and it resulted in the situation I was in.

“Suit her right. She deserved it for poisoning you.” Olivia sneered.

I looked at her and then back at my hands using it as a stimulant for my thoughts. There was something amiss in all this. I had a feeling that she wasn’t the one who poisoned me.

Maybe she was the one who gave me the potion, but she didn’t look like someone who had a grudge against me or who would want to hurt me.

Without relenting too much to my thoughts, I pushed the bedsheet away standing up. Everyone

Elora’s POV While running, I kept praying to the moon goddess to keep both Sarah and Olivia safe. With how vicious Rose and Rebecca were, I knew they wouldn’t hesitate to go for the kill and if such were to happen, then I would end up losing two of the most important people in my life. Lucky for me, I was able to reach the pack gathering. Getting through wasn’t easy for me as everyone was busy trying to see what was going on in the middle. They didn’t even realize if I was the one, or bothered to even check. That aside, I force my way to the middle, and right there on the stage, I saw the pack seer standing in the middle with a chain on her neck. Her body was bruised up and both hands were swollen. She couldn’t even open her eyes that well due to the beating she had received. Then, a warrior walked towards her with a rope and was about to put it on her neck when I shouted. “Stop! She’s innocent.” I yelled, attracting every eye upon me. That was when they noticed my presence. “Elo

Elora's POV I didn’t know what he meant until I caught a glimpse of my body. I was glowing, so bright like the moon, and it almost blinded everyone’s eyes. However, I realized it was the sudden brightness that forced their eyes close, including Devlin. But apart from him, the pack seer's eyes were open wide staring at me. Then I felt a surge of power following from my body down to hers. It happened uncontrollably, and before I knew it all the bruises on her skin began to heal up. Her swollen eyes returned to how they were. Even her body which looked like it had lost its color due to how badly she was tortured was now back to normal. “You can heal others already?” She said in awe looking at her body but as soon as she looked back at me, her mouth fell open. “Stop, it’s affecting you too.” She said but it was too late. I was still holding her and on the last bit, I felt my body suddenly weak and slumped to the floor. “Elora?” She yelled in fright, reaching out to me, but my mouth

Devlin POV I kept getting different shocking episodes that were too disturbing for me to process. First Elora was dead, and it was only by a miracle that she was still alive, yet now I just found out she could heal someone too, but the consequences were too much. Her body was looking similar to how Erica was a while ago. Even though she might be trying to conceal the pain under a fake expression, I could still feel it through the mate bond. It broke my heart into a thousand pieces. My fingers curled in frustration. I kept pacing around the room back and forth not until I heard Elora was supposed to have a dream. “A dream?” I asked, looking at Erica. “Yes. I gave her the portion so she could access her memories. Although it was altered with a poison, I think it might still work. I mean, the effect of the portion won’t be diluted. It must have taken effect making her see visions of her past.” Erica explained. Even though I didn’t understand the details of her words, I just had to no

Elora's POV“What? Under attack? How?” Devlin gasped in shock as he stared at the wolf that appeared from the door. I was also shocked by this and my mouth fell open. Then, I began to shiver knowing I must have been the cause of this. It was precisely what Erica, the pack seer said. She foresaw that I would bring chaos to the pack, and now it had happened.“What’s the situation now?” Devlin asked.“The border patrol is fighting them off, but we don’t know if they will be able to hold them off so I came here to tell you.” The warrior replied.“I see. You can go now. I will join them shortly.” Devlin dismissed him before turning to look at me. Seeing the pale look on my face, he became worried as he then caressed my hand. That was when I was able to snap back to reality.“I am the cause of this right?” I said, trying to hold back tears from trailing down my cheeks. My mind had already brought up the scene of how those warriors who were fighting would be screaming and trying to run for t

Devlin POVI arrived at the borders quickly to aid the warriors fight off the intruders. Though I wasn’t certain whether the enemies were rogues or maybe from other packs but then I wouldn’t spare anyone who tried to trespass. After reaching, I saw bodies lying on the floor, and they weren’t rogues but wolves from another pack. I instantly widened as I stared in horror thinking my warriors must have done the worst.Still trying to take in the shock when I heard some movements. I quickly lifted my head to see who it was when I saw Daniel dragging a wolf by his neck towards me. Seeing it was me, a sigh escaped Daniel’s lips as he then tossed the wolf to my front. I watched how the wolf tumbled on the floor as he rolled towards me.At first, I saw Daniel's attitude to be rude, but I didn’t question him yet as I was curious to know who he threw in front of me.“That’s Alpha Lucian or I might say Alpha Kace.” Daniel snorted, but I still couldn’t understand as this wolf was someone I hadn’

Devlin POV“Don’t believe any words he’s saying. Who knows, he might be using the initiative to get into our pack with ulterior motives.” Daniel warned through gritted teeth. He had a point, but also there seemed to be something going on here. Since I couldn’t begin to take wild guesses, I decided to give him a chance to see how it would unfold.“You want to apologize to Elora?” I raised a brow at him.“Yes, that’s my only wish and after that, you can kill me. I don’t have any hope of living any longer.” He said.I could only sigh and stand back on my feet. Then I looked at the surrounding warriors who were eager to kill him before giving out a warning.“No one kills him until I say so,” I warned while they quickly tucked their head back in. Then I looked towards Daniel, “That implies to you too.” I said while he gritted his teeth. Then I grabbed Kace who was on the floor by his shoulder heading towards the packhouse. I was going to have him apologize since he had caused her so much a

Elora's POV“Wait! Don’t kill him.” I said quickly after seeing Devlin was about to rip his neck out. Even though I could feel a knot in my chest as the anger was just too much for me to withstand, I couldn't help but want to listen to what he had to say.It was so shocking to see the almighty Kace who seemed fearless and was also rude to be this calm and tattered. He didn’t even look like someone I knew if not for the feeling I got after his presence.Something was at work here. Something was amiss. I could smell it out of thin air. It seems Avalon had fully shown herself to be a wretched person who was so power-drunk.“I didn’t know what she did to the pack, but suddenly, they turned their back on me. Even my beta turned against me.” Kace said again pulling me out of my thoughts.I saw a tear slip down his eyes as he spoke which became more and more surprising.“I would have been killed, I had nowhere to go. Avalon had injected me with so much more silver that I couldn't even stand

Elora's POV Slamming the door wide open, my eyes sauntered around the room and settled on the bed only to find Danica lying peacefully on it. When I barged in, she jerked up, staring daggers at me.“Bitch, what are you doing in my room?” She snapped with furious eyes, but a smirk appeared on my lips. Without saying anything I pounced on her, leaving her stunned at first but the next second she was groaning in pain while trying to break free from my grip.“Let me go! Don’t you know I am with child and yet, you are doing such a thing to be?” She tried her best, but I didn’t bulge. I kept clawing on her face with my fingers intending to peel her face off entirely so that she might have some sanity inside her.Seeing I wasn’t letting go and the pain was increasing, she started yelling. “Devlin, save me. She’s trying to kill me. I’m with your child, and yet, she has no regard for that.” “Elora!”Delvins voice rang from the door, but I didn’t stop so he came and dragged me off. I kept try

  • Rejected Luna   Finally we get married (the end)

Delvin's POVIt was a few hours now that I had killed mother for being deceitful and wicked. While I sat across the bench, different thoughts invaded my mind and I started reasoning all she had said to me. If she could be this wicked, then she certainly must have lied about everything else she advised me against. I rushed at the doctor and as I got into his room, he shook terribly and tried to run away from the room but I slammed the door shut and held a knife to his throat. He sighed carefully, trying to ask what he did wrong but I rather asked him. "What didn't you do wrong you fool?!" I questioned him, ensuring the knife gets closer to his neck so he would confess on time. "I...I truly..." He said and then kept quiet. I kicked him on the legs and he fell to the ground. Without hesitation, I stabbed him in the legs and he groaned painfully. "I would do that again if you don't tell me the fucking truth now!!" I screamed at him. It seemed like he had been informed that my mother h

  • Rejected Luna   Uncontrollable anger

Delvin's POVIt was as though someone was manipulating her to speak up her mind. It was as though her cunning abilities and whatever magic she was using, had failed her. I chuckled as she came close but I made Elora stay behind me, so nothing bad would happen to her. Judging from her dark expressions, I was already getting scared of her but I patiently waited for all she would say. "So i came to your pack to get this healer wolf but I couldn't! That's why I came to your pack!!" She laughed at me like though she had successfully fooled me. Elora was quietly speaking behind for me to be quiet and not say anything yet no matter how I'm triggered to say it. "We wouldn't listen to her well now. Remember that you need to confirm from two sides about what's happening. Listen to her words and realize who you have brought into the pack. Didn't I tell you she was coming to cause chaos?" She said and at the end of her words, I silenced her, telling her we shouldn't assume anything. Deep down

  • Rejected Luna   I'm not giving her to you

Delvin's POVI stared around and counted the rogues. Elora stood right behind me as well as we watched the rogues. I tried to study their intention and luckily, I knew about it immediately. They were literally trying to take Elora away from me. While I haven't even verified that yet, one of them walked towards me to declare their intention and then they would leave. "Release Elora to us and let us go." He said to me. I wasn't particularly sure if he was speaking in English or perhaps his words were a bit muffled. Or his English accent wasn't clear enough. It wasn't coherent to the ears. "I should release Elora to you? That'll be the last thing that'll happen. Come take her and let me see!" I screamed at him, but he cautioned his men not to fight yet and then he turned towards me like though he was about to give me some last warning. "We can take both you and your pack down within a few seconds and everything will be ruined. Why not consider our request and save yourself?""I'm not

  • Rejected Luna   I will join the fight

Delvin's POVI felt hurt after realizing that my suspicions towards my mom could be actually true. She could have threatened to kill Sarah indeed but for trying to sit on the fence and not revealing the total truth, I felt bad. She's like a mother figure to me and so she shouldn't be hiding anything from me. As long as someone has falsified the truth, it would be truly hard to believe the person again.I took a deep breath and sat on the bed and then Daniel stepped forwards and stood in front of me, trying to console me about all that happened. "I think you should be more calm at this moment. I really understand how you're feeling and about Sarah? I don't think you should have chased her out like that. She confessed the truth about being threatened and that's why she lied to you. Now that the mother isn't around, she could say the truth." Daniel said to me and I held my head with my two palms, trying to regain sanity. I was already feeling mad by all what was going on. "I think we h

  • Rejected Luna   She held the knife

Delvin's POVI saw everything that happened. I saw a knife in Elora's hands. She literally wanyed to stab my mother. Because she was only telling the truth, she was trying to kill her. How dare hee. I felt a wave of hurt and betrayal wash through me as I moved towards her. A single tear didn't drop from my eyes but deep down within me, I was shaking with tears. How would she do this? She has actually committed a lot of stuff for me to believe anything anyone said to her. Pulling her but her neck, Ioged her towards her room and flung her there. She wouldn't cause more havoc in the pack in my presence. If everything that had been happening was actually narrated to me, then I would doubt it as I didn't earlier think she could do this. She was about explaining how it all happened but I placed a finger on my lips and locked her up in the room. What was she trying to say? She was definitely trying to justify her actions when I caught her red handed. She had just tried to kill the mother

  • Rejected Luna   He hates me now

Elora's POVI was walking across the hallway, passing by some rooms to cool music head because of the many things that has troubled me recently, and then I heard someone moaning somewhere not far from where I stood. I traced the sound till I got to this particular room, more like a guest room. Not everyone can go in there. It has to be Delvin or someone who is in some high rank in the pack. I checked through the windows that weren't properly closed as I saw how Delvin was spanking denica and she was moaning delightfully.I waited there for up to half an hour to confirm what I was seeing. They changed positions, and I was able to see their faces clearly. It was as though delvin had sighted me, I had no other thought than to go visit Olivia again. She was the best and literally the only person that was going to listen to me at this point. I took a deep breath and ran towards her place, trying not to reveal my emotions through my face. As I got in there, she pulled me into a firm hug

  • Rejected Luna   Take me all

Delvin's POVI began to feel bad and awful that I had kept my mother hanging all this while. She had purposely told me that Elora was barren but I didn't believe it. It was next to test Danica, but I'm not more certain than probable that she might be pregnant for me. I started to reason with her now, as I felt a move to go apologize to her for retorting boldly like though I knew more than she did. "Since Danica was going to give me a child, shouldn't I start caring for her instead?" I asked myself as I stood inside my room and then the memories of all the times I was caring for Elora and even saved her from the hands of Kace, retuned to my head and I took a deep sigh. I should have been doing this for Elora ever since. And then my mother walked in. I knew she wasn't specifically angry at me since she knew I was a leader and I should have my point as well. I knew she would be glad as well that I took her suggestions seriously and carried out the test. She stared at me as I was moody

  • Rejected Luna   A barren woman

Elora's POVMy heart was thumping fast as I narrowed my gaze at the doctor, pleading with him to check it again. "Please run the tests again. This can't be so!! Please!" I screamed at him, tears pricking around the corners of my eyes. I understood the implication of being barren and especially when you wouldn't tell the man you're mated to, about it.."Do you mean my machine is full of error? Hey woman, my machine didn't lie. You're barren. What that means is you can't bear any children till your last breath." He said, explaining the nitty-gritty of the concept. I heaved a deep sigh and tried to get up to grab his legs and beg him to do so, not minding if he would request extra payment for his service. "Mr. Doctor, you can be on your way. Running the tests again isn't going to change anything. Please be on your way. It's not necessary. She's barren and I'm glad we both know that now. Hanging in the air ain't no joke." Delvin said and the doctor bowed his head, before he walked out o

Elora's POVI eventually decided to visit Olivia as I didn't have another place to go. She was my only friend in the pack and I trusted my secrets with her. She would listen to me and advise me like a mother. "She doesn't like me. I am telling you. If I'm sugarcoating my words, may the moon goddess strike me. She doesn't like me one bit." I complained bitterly to her, but she was only sighing, patiently waiting for me to complete my words before she would advise me based on what I've said."I didn't even know how she came to the pack. It was just an afternoon when Delvin was busy with me. He came to summon me to come meet his mother and I never insulted her until she raised her voice at me, calling me names. What exactly did I wrong? I can't point to anything bad I've done. Should I narrate everything that happened and then you judge who is right and who is wrong?" I said to her, laying myself in bed as I was even too tired to sit up in bed and tell h e about everything."I understan
