Emily's POV

The morning air was crisp as I stood in the clearing, the sun barely peeking over the horizon. Liam was already there, waiting for me with his usual calm demeanor. Training had become a routine since I’d become Luna, and today, I was determined to push myself harder, to gain more control over the strange powers that were slowly revealing themselves to me.

“Ready?” Liam asked, tossing me a wooden staff.

I caught it mid-air and nodded, feeling a surge of determination. “More than ever.”

We started with basic moves—strikes, parries, and footwork. Liam was patient but relentless, correcting my form and pushing me to be faster, more precise. Despite the physical exertion, I found myself focusing more on the strange energy that simmered just beneath my skin. It was as if my wolf was more present than ever, watching, waiting for something.

“Your focus is better today,” Liam observed, blocking one of my strikes with ease. “But you’re holding back.”
