Auretta’s POV

I stood next to the glass door leading to the pool with my gaze fixed on the chair.

I remembered Alpha Andrew, who emotionally accused me of betraying him, but my heart was not broken; what I felt now was burning anger.

I took a deep breath before taking a step forward.

I carried Alaric, who had just drunk milk, to sit with me by the pool. I put him on my lap.

Honestly, I didn’t expect Alpha Andrew to ask me to bring Alaric to this place. He remembered my habit of bringing Alaric to sunbathe.

The fall wind was cool. I put a gray jacket on Alaric. Although the werewolf's body temperature was hot and we wouldn't get sick from the cold, that wasn't the case for babies.

Alaric stared at me deeply as if he wanted to tell me something. I swear his gaze was the same as when he looked at me before.

I was relieved if Alaric recognized me as his mother; perhaps he remembered my body temperature because my face, eyes, and hair were so different from my old self. I even lost a few p

“It seems that Alpha will bring thousands of his warrior troops to attack the enemy pack.”"I think so too. Alpha attacks the enemy every month except during the summer, but Alpha will not attack it if it is not very important or in an emergency."I listened to the two omegas who were talking about their Alpha. We were in the bathroom.I had just finished taking a shower and was wearing my nanny uniform.I had no idea what the Alpha rogue assassin did to make the nanny academy school willing to issue a certificate stating that I was their student who graduated last year and had worked for a year in a rich man's house in the Black Sea Pack. The Alpha rogue assassin created a fake identity, stating that I came from the River Cube Pack. I was an orphan and grew up in an orphanage. I then decided to go to school at the nanny academy located on the border of the River Pack Clan and the Mountain Pack Clan.I shuddered in horror if, one day, Alpha Andrew found out all the documents about me

Andrew’s POVThe war ended an hour ago. I had swapped bodies with my wolf. Thousands of my warriors had returned to the pack, and only ten warriors were left to guard me.Usually, I would have returned to the pack immediately, but I didn’t that day; I accepted Alpha Lucas’ invitation to chat in his office. He gave me a bottle of wine and a glass with a big smile. We sat across from each other on the couch. His smile was so annoying. I wanted to strangle him.‘I regret not being able to kill his wolf, but yeah, at least he was badly injured,’ my wolf said proudly.Alpha Lucas’ wolf was indeed injured, and when they swapped bodies, some of the wounds were still on Alpha Lucas’ body, making him wince and complain about his body regeneration, which was working slowly.Alpha Lucas used to be a Beta. Even though he had become an Alpha, his body regeneration and strength did not increase. The Moon Goddess seemed only to allow him to hold the Alpha title. He knew that he would never be able

The beautiful sky and the chirping of birds that appeared perched on my house's roof served as the morning background.I had finished my morning exercise and breakfast. I saw Rebecca carrying Alaric through the dining room to the pool. I was interested to see them. Two minutes after Tabitha left me because she had an appointment with her friends to spend the whole day together, I strengthened my determination to stand at the glass door to the pool.I didn't want to make Rebecca misunderstand. I wasn't watching her. I just wanted to see Alaric, who was very calm while he was with his nanny. They had only been together for five days, but they looked like they had known each other for a long time.Alaric’s calm demeanor reminded me of my late ex-mate. Alaric would only cry when he was thirsty.I smiled faintly as I remembered my late ex- mate’s annoyed face every time I made Alaric cry. I could never hold him properly, and he would always cry every time I wanted to keep him.“My annoying

Auretta’s POVThe growls and howls of the warrior wolves were clearly heard in my ears.Alaric was used to the terrifying sounds because he had slept in this room since birth.Every Alpha’s house must be next to the warrior camp. That wasn’t actually a rule that all packs had to obey. I didn't know who first had the idea.I think an Alpha’s house should be next to the warrior camp, making it easier for the Alphas to coordinate the warriors.I’ve never heard of an Alpha’s house far from the warrior camp. My pack, which had a small territory, built a home for the alpha next to the warrior camp.I took a deep breath. I missed my pack. I couldn’t wait to meet Beta Caleb. How could I get out of this house to meet him?The Alpha rogue assassin was right. I should have refused to sleep in Alaric's room. At that time, I was so happy to sleep with him, but I didn't think it would hinder my movements.Look now, I was so dizzy thinking about how to leave this room at night.I glanced at the CCTV

What did Alpha Andrew really want? I was sure he regretted not rejecting me when we first met.He and his tens of thousands of warriors could destroy my pack then. They could kill everyone. My wolf wasn't even sure she could win against him.Why did he accept me then if he loved his cousin so much? They still love each other even now. I was never in his heart.I started to believe my wolf's opinion. Alpha Andrew accepted me then because he thought he could control my pack, but in reality, I refused to hand over my pack under his leadership. Then Alpha Andrew devised a scheme to destroy me because I had gotten in his way. He made the incorrect accusation. Then, he pushed Warrior Johan to carry out his plan. The proof was that he did not punish Warrior Johan severely, but he killed me by paying the rogue assassins.I kept thinking about the conspiracy theory created by my wolf, and over time, I thought it made sense. If Alpha Andrew was really the mastermind behind the fake news, he was

Andrew’s POV"Mark my words." Beta Caleb glared at me, his hands clenched, his cheeks flushed, and his jaw clenched. His breath was ragged from the turmoil in his chest.“You can get my elders to accept you as their leader until Alaric is ready to become Alpha, but you will never be able to use my warrior army to help you achieve your goal of exterminating your enemies!” Beta Caleb said firmly. There was no fear of me in his eyes.“The windows and warriors are on my side, and they will not betray me.” Beta Caleb said arrogantly. “You rejected our Alpha and caused our Alpha to die. How can we trust you even though you are the father of our future Alpha?”His words were like a sharp iron ball hitting my body until my heart ached so much. I had to hold onto the edge of the table to stay standing.“No one trusts you in my pack.” Beta Caleb smiled proudly. “The elders will be unable to make us forgive you or accept you as our interim leader.” He shook his head.“I thank you for sending ten

Joel’s POV (Andrew’s Wolf)That morning, my thousands of warriors and I left the pack. We ran for miles with a burning passion in our chests. We were going to attack our enemies!I was so happy when Alpha Romeo invited Andrew and his thousands of warriors to attack the Lycan Wilmar Kingdom.Everyone would be shocked when they saw the news on television or the internet about what we would do that morning.Lately, everyone thought that Andrew and Alpha Romeo’s relationship had soured. The rumor made the enemy happy because they would not face us, who often combined our warrior strengths. For hundreds of years, the River Oval Pack and the Mountain Twins Pack have been known to have many enemies and often attack small packs, rogue clans, and lycan clans.War was commonplace for us. It could be said that it was our hobby. The warrior wolves would become depressed if they did not fight for a long time. Therefore, we attack the enemy almost every month because the enemy rarely attacks us fir

Andrew’s POV I read the news on the internet with a crooked smile. So many articles discussed the Wilmar Lycan Kingdom being attacked by the River Oval Pack and the Mountain Twins Pack. The war happened two days ago, but people were still discussing it. They were shocked because they didn’t expect me and Alpha Romeo, along with our warrior troops, to attack the Lycan kingdom. Previously, they believed that my relationship with Alpha Romeo was strained, and some even predicted that our wolves would fight until one of us died or we were both badly injured and then decided to become enemies. I couldn’t hide my sneer at them. It turned out that many wanted to see my wolf and Alpha Romeo’s wolf fight again. They didn’t like our friendship. No. No. They were not jealous of our friendship. They, especially our enemies, were happy if we became enemies because they believed we would be busy attacking each other and forget that we have many enemies. Their thoughts were amusing. Alpha

Auretta’s POVI had a new routine almost every day for a week.I sat in the park or forest for an hour or two, but I was not alone, Alaric and Beta Lyra were with me.It was not my intention, it was Alpha Andrew’s idea.I forgot that babies need to be introduced to nature making me feel like a failure as a mother to Alaric.I was too focused on my revenge plan, keeping my identity from being revealed, and opening my ears wide to listen to the conversations of the people around me in hopes of getting useful information for me or the rogue assassins.I didn’t know where Alpha Andrew learned about babies needing to know their surroundings. He never attended prenatal classes, even though I tried my best to persuade him.I should have been suspicious of him from the start. He was a man who couldn’t possibly play his role as a father. He preferred to be busy with his work and the war.Okay. Stop it. I shouldn’t be thinking about that bastard.“Future Alpha.” I held Alaric who had just drunk

Andrew’s POVIt was a great day for me and my wolf.Alpha Delrico and Alpha King Raziel combined their strength. They wanted to feel what Alpha Romeo and I and our wolves felt.My wolf enjoyed the fight that lasted for more than two hours even though his body was battered and I was almost out of energy to help his body regenerate quickly. My wolf preferred fighting two wolves rather than joining Alpha Romeo’s wolf to fight an Alpha werewolf or an Alpha rogue.Oh, I forgot. It had been a long time since we attacked rogues. Usually, Alfa Romeo was very enthusiastic about inviting me to mess up the rogues' residence. I wonder if his mate is really a rogue?“Stop attacking your enemies, Alpha Andrew.” Alpha Delrico stood in front of me, blocking the sunlight that was shining on me.I sat under a tree in the forest where we fought a few minutes ago.I had switched bodies with my wolf, and a quarter of the warriors were waiting for me to return to the pack with them.It had been an exciting

Joel (Andrew’s wolf)That afternoon, two hours after lunch, I and two thousand five hundred warriors went to the Gray Sea Pack.We passed several packs in the River Pack Clan and then we had to wait for ten minutes at the Sea Pack Clan’s border gate to enter their territory. They didn’t check our identities because they knew me.I and the chief warrior ran at the back to make sure there were no intruders and rushed to the warriors who stepped out of line with an excuse. However, so far we haven’t found any rogue wolves, rogue assassin wolves, and wild wolves daringly entering our group. If such a thing happened, my warriors would immediately notice it. They know each other.“Run one by one!” The chief warrior shouted his orders. We had arrived at a long and narrow bridge that could only be crossed by one person, one motorcycle, and one bicycle. The bridge that was built floating above the sea was so sturdy that it did not collapse when the waves hit it.Only the Gray Sea Pack built a

Andrew’s POVRebecca did what I told her two days ago. Rebecca put Alaric in the stroller, and then she pushed it. Rebecca and Beta Lyra went to the park.I should have been the one taking Alaric to the park, the river, the forest, and other places; instead, I left it to them.I could have taken my time, but for some reason, I didn’t want to put off my work so I could be with Alaric for more than 30 minutes. My ex-mate’s words seemed to have affected me. The fear of Alaric crying in my arms wouldn’t go away. Plus, I felt guilty towards him.Alaric cried a lot and had trouble sleeping for a month after his mother’s body was buried and before Rebecca came into our lives.Alaric missed his mother.Alaric lost his mother, who had carried him for 9 months and cared for him for 10 days.No matter how much I regretted it, no matter how much I wanted to change the past, I was always faced with the reality, like thousands of stones being thrown at my head, that there was nothing I could do.“H

I was so happy that morning, but my face couldn't show what I was feeling.Although there were no surveillance cameras in the playroom, I had to be careful, they might have put other devices to watch me in places I couldn't reach."Hi, good afternoon, future Alpha. I'm so glad to see you again. Did you forget about me? We met at the Mountain Volcano Pack a week ago." Beta Caleb said softly and smiled widely.Alaric looked at him with knitted together as if he was searching his mind for Beta Caleb. I smiled, not knowing if Alaric could think yet."Uh, oh," Alaric shouted with his legs moving quickly, a smile on his face, and his eyes sparkling."I'm so glad you remember me." Beta Caleb touched his chest,, and his eyes filled with tears. He often wanted to cry when he was with Alaric.“I usually visit you once every two weeks, but the pack members are pushing me to see you soon.” Beta Caleb shook his head and showed a dizzy face.“They believe Rebecca; they just want me to make sure you

Auretta’s POVI rushed to my room after I took a shower, avoiding the omegas because I only wanted to be close to Omega Maya.Although I got a lot of information about this pack from the omegas. Blame them for gossiping loudly.Alaric was sleeping after drinking milk. He woke up at 4 am and went to bed at 7 am. As he got older, Alaric slept less and less. Alaric liked to open his eyes now.I looked at my reflection in the mirror and stroked my stomach. My stomach was still bloated. If I didn’t wear a belly wrap, people would glance at my stomach in surprise. While Alaric was napping, an hour after lunch, I practiced yoga for half an hour every day to reduce my tummy fat. I watched a yoga video on the internet after being recommended by the female rogue assassin who injured my entire body.My wolf and I were surprised when we learned that rogue assassins get married and have children. They marry fellow group members or regular rogues. It seems that I was the only one who accidentally

I focused on the dry brown and orange leaves scattered beneath the trees. Some would fly away, burying the wolf warriors who had attacked them.Fall was still in full swing.Winter was approaching in less than three weeks.I never hated the seasons, but just this once, I wished winter would be pushed back a week.“We haven’t attacked all of our enemies yet,” I said, my jaw clenched in frustration.“There’s nothing we can do,” Beta Duncan said. “We have to postpone the war because you’re in a condition that doesn’t allow you to switch bodies with your wolf.”“No matter how strong we are, no matter how fast our body regeneration heals us, we will still be defeated when faced with poison.” Beta Duncan said wisely as he glanced at me with concern. “Thank the Gray Sea Pack for creating various antidotes.”I held back my hand from hitting Beta Duncan’s head.“I will never thank the Gray Sea Pack. They have created dozens of poisons.”“Don’t forget that one of their poisons has wiped out ten

Andrew’s POVDamn it!I slammed the table in annoyance. That day, my wolf was supposed to bring thousands of our warriors to attack the River Oval Pack, but the poisoned bullets made me cancel our plan.I have to wait until tomorrow to find out if the antidote works to expel the poison in my body.If I don’t recover, I will have to meet Alpha Delrico again. My wolf should be the one fighting his wolf!I really hope that the day after tomorrow I will recover. I will be so embarrassed to Alpha Delrico if I meet him again in a weak state.“I’m going to find that bastard. I’m going to make him regret shooting me, and I’m going to make sure he tells me who paid for it.”I growled.I couldn’t concentrate on my work. Anger had been burning in me since I woke up.“Calm down, Alpha,” Beta said. He sat across from me as he went through the documents on the table, helping me sort out the ones I needed to read and handle right away. “Your anger is making me uncomfortable.”“Not only did that guy

“It’s bath time,” I said to Alaric cheerfully.I took Alaric out of the crib. He had just finished his milk. Alaric sucked his thumb; he didn’t really like pacifiers.I bathed Alaric in the baby bath with warm water. Alaric smiled and babbled in his baby language. I wanted so badly to kiss his chubby cheeks. There was no one and no surveillance cameras in the room. But still, I didn't dare to hug Alaric tightly or kiss his cheek.I was afraid of myself forgetting my revenge mission.“You love baths,” I commented on Alaric’s feet playing in the water.I didn’t learn to be a nanny.I cared for Alaric based on the prenatal knowledge I learned when I was six to nine months pregnant. So, sometimes, I doubted myself and wondered if nannies did what I did and if I looked like a nanny.“You’re already handsome and smell good.” I moved Alaric from the baby bath and laid him down on the changing station. Alaric bit the dark gray towel covering him.I brushed his teeth, slathered his face with b
