287 : Time For Another War

The moon hangs in the sky and I stare at it through the window while sitting on the couch of my kid’s room. Both Ezra and Veenie are sleeping. Veenie’s little chest rises and falls as she sleeps inside the crib. She has thrown off the blanket that covers her body so I put it back on.

My eyes dart towards Ezra. My heart pounds in my chest as I think about Ezra. Elijah had warned me that the full moon would bring with it a surge of dark power, a temptation that Ezra might not be able to resist. How will I stop that?

His father couldn’t stop himself from getting possessed by it. Then how will he handle it? He’s just a child.

A lone tear slides down my eye and I wipe it away with my knuckles. This is so cruel. But I can’t lose hope.

I know I have to do something, anything, to prevent Ezra from falling to the dark side. With a sense of urgency, I head to the library, hoping to find information that could help me.
