229 : Luna Ceremony

Her tired eyes brighten as she sees me, and she opens her arms to embrace me in a hug. During the week, I visited her in the Mountain Cross pack, and the doctor advised her to stay on bed rest for a few days. I invited her to the ceremony and promised to ensure she’s taken care of throughout the entire party.

"It's so good to see you again." She cups my face and gives me a warm smile.

“Hey,” I hear another voice and smile when I see Carlisle walk in. He looks good in his dark gray blazer over a maroon turtleneck sweater. His gaze slides over my appearance. “You look stunning tonight, just as usual,” he compliments me.

I feel a strong arm wrap around my waist. Elijah stands beside me, throwing a sharp look toward Carlisle. I hold his hand and give it a light squeeze. He doesn’t need to feel threatened. He’s always going to be the one I love.
