Just as Zara promised, she came back. I never took her words seriously.

When she promised me that she was going to come back, honestly, I didn't believe she would or if she ever did, that she would be back this soon.

I thought her business with the Silverblade knights was more important than me and it would take her forever to return or perhaps never return at all.

I was thankful she helped save me from those guys. I appreciated her with a nod. I couldn't hug her like I did Jasper. She was still a stranger to me and she refused to tell me anything about why she left or who my father was.

However, I felt sad after I left her standing there to meet Jasper but later discovered she was gone. It was as though I had pushed her away and that was never my intention.

I couldn't pretend that I knew her well, and keep a fake smile like everything was alright.
