Riley's Pov

Not again. I fell on the alpha again. Why do I always fall on him all the time? is this also the mark effect? But what kind of effect will always make me fall on him?

I looked at his face and caught his gaze.

My breath stopped as my heart began to throb fast. He was staring at me.

I quickly stood up and moved away. What will he do to me this time? Punish me? I am in a lot of trouble because of my clumsiness. This is bad for me.

"I am sorry. I don't mean to fall on you. I just slipped." I pleaded, looking down. I might fall to the ground if I look at him.

He rolled his eyes and closed them back.

Why isn't he saying anything? Why did he keep shut? Or is he still sleeping when he opened his eyes?

Anyway, as long as his eyes are closed, that means so I am saved. I breathed out in relief and slowly and carefully, walked away, not making any sound as I go.
