I decided to ignore that fact though and focused on eating. Besides, since my Betas were preoccupied, there was no use making a huge fuss out of it.

I, Elder Raj and Elder Razu made small talk while Kristen and Emelda discussed between themselves in hushed voices.

Finally, Elder Raj got up with a file in his hands which he read out loud. Just before he did, he cleared his throat and they all paused in whatever they had doing to listen to him.
