"Don't you love me?" Audrey suddenly asked as she slowly approached him in short brisk steps, her hands fisted by her side, her eyes narrowed, holding back the tears welling up in them.

"I... I do. I do love you Audrey." Josh stepped back in staggering, shaky steps as she approached him.

Audrey grabbed the wine glass and threw it at him, but he narrowly missed it by a hair's breath as it smashed onto the wall behind him.

"Don't you fucking lie to me you bastard!!!" There were tears in her eyes. "Don't you lie to me Josh. Do you love me? Do you even like me? Have you ever had feelings for me?"

This time he doesn't reply and just stared at her with a guilty expression.

With pain in her eyes, she smiled and nodded her head like the realization had hit her.
