AMAIRA'S POV

Once Jessica stepped out the portal, she found herself in a dark eerie room which seemed very cold and unwelcoming.

She hugged herself, staring warily at the nook and cranny of the room, her eyes going misty when she thought about Amaira.

"Your friend will be fine. Now have a seat… I brought you here to talk."

Jessica hesitated, and her eyes moved to the door. This was obviously her room, and probably, it was in the kingdom, exactly where the captors were held.

However, Janice knew what she was planning just by seeing the way her eyes moved from her to the door.

"If you try to leave, your friend dies… "

Jessica gave her a look.

"Excuse me?" Janice didn't say anything else and just turned Away. "you said you gave her the real antidote?”

"I did… and I did not."

"Stop bullshiting! What's that even supposed to mean?!"

"Jeeez" Janice smirked as she swished her hair to the side. "I did give her the antidote, but you'll have to understand one thing, Jessica" as she drew
