Elena

My heart thumped loudly with each step I took.

The feeling of sadness that inhabited my heart earlier had disappeared and a new, completely different feeling replaced it. The feeling of happiness and uncertainty.

It's been months since I last saw a member of my family, I wondered how they were faring and what had become of them since I left.

My marriage wasn’t the kind that every girl will crave to have, it was sudden and though it wasn’t forceful, I had no other choice at that time. Be with the Alpha or lose your life.

My marriage to the Alpha separated me from my parents and sisters. It was like I was taken into slavery, a false slavery.

My feet stopped shuffling when I saw Melsa seated on a wooden bench, her back turned to me.

I inhaled deeply and fastened my pace to where she sat. I noiselessly sat beside her, she didn’t seem to notice my presence until I tapped my slumped shoulder.

She jolted up, and relief washed over her face when she caught my face smiling up at

~Elena ~ My heart dropped into my belly and my chest tightened as I slowly turned around to face whoever my sister called ‘mate.’ Praying that it doesn't turn out to be who I thought it was. My throat suddenly became parched and I felt my heart break apart when my eyes fell on Alpha Xander. Xander’s startling eyes were fixed on Melsa who was lost in her world of shock. “What… what is going on here?” I stuttered, glancing from Xander to Melsa. I don’t want to believe that the mate my sister was talking about is Alpha Xander. It can’t be! I and Xander are mates now. What if this turns out to be true? We made love last night, how will we face each other if this turns out to be true? I shook my head as my chest tightened out oxygen from my body. My eyes began to dilate as my head swirled. None of them noticed my presence as they had their eyes stamped on each other’s faces. “Alpha?” I stuttered, and the tears gathering in my eyes began to blur my vision. Xander averted

~Elena~ Nathan’s forehead crinkled in confusion as I snapped out of his protective grip, glaring venomously at him. “What’s wrong, Elena?” He asked, narrowing his brows. I scoffed and wrapped my arms around my chest. “Drop the act, Nathan, I know the real you,” I snapped. His jaws dropped and he stuttered, unsure of the right reply to my sharp accusation. “What are you talking about, what have I done?” He raised his shoulders, his grey eyes blinking innocently. “Why did you harass my family? Why didn’t you vent your anger on me instead?” I growled and he took two steps backward. I could tell what he was thinking; ‘Where did this little weak Omega get her courage and confidence?’ His large grey eyes roamed shockingly around my face. I smiled in triumph at the statement I made up in my head. I suddenly liked my new self, the confident and audacious Luna Elena. The expression on his face revealed that he didn’t like my display of behavior, and I loved it. I love whatever h

~Alexander~“What are you saying, you’re no longer a baby, you’re…” she paused. The comprehension of what I meant dawned on her and she froze in my grip and stuttered, I felt her heart race. “Won’t you like your baby to suck a little bit of it?” I muttered. She gasped and inhaled, spinning around to face me. “You should attend to your duties,” she rasped, her breathing got heavier at every second that ticked by. She tried to smuggle me out of my grip, but I tightened my hold on her, making it impossible to escape. “Alpha,” she sighed, giving up to me. “Can I have a little bit of it, hmm?” I mumbled, staring at the mounds on her chest. She followed my eyes and her cheeks heated up when she caught what I was staring at. “Stop it you’re making me feel…” “Wet?” Her face reddened and she hid her face away from me. “Can we do this later? I need to see the Queen Luna,” she mumbled. I groaned and let her go. She giggled and sauntered towards the door, she sprinted ou

~Elena~ “Let her go!” I watched Xander toss her off to the wall, fuming monstrously. His blue eyes were horrifyingly dark and the sight of his clenched fist pushed my heart into my belly. I swallowed hard and managed to direct a glare at him, hoping he wouldn’t avert his anger at me. I had curiously followed him earlier when I saw him leave immediately I stepped out. The torture I saw him give poor Aurora was sickening, I wondered if I could survive such strangle. What if he had killed her? If I hadn’t intervened, would he have killed her for my sake? I love how possessive and protective he is towards me, but I can’t watch him end a life for my sake. Be it Aurora or someone else. Aurora’s whimpers drifted into my ear and I craned my neck to her direction. I stared unbelievably at Aurora who was pleading shamelessly in the dimly lit cell. Aurora was begging. How is that possible? I glanced back at Xander and frowned, his dark eyes were still fixed on Aurora.

~Nathan~ When I heard that Aurora had been released from prison, I couldn’t help but wish to see her. I’m afraid that she might try to hurt Elena again, and I’m certain she will. Aurora can never change, we all are sure of it. But, why will Xander release her despite knowing how dangerous she is to Elena? That was the question rummaging around my mind as I hid in a corner waiting for all the servants in Aurora’s room to leave before slipping in to get the answer to my question. Immediately after the servants were gone, I tiptoed into her room, shutting the door noiselessly behind me. “I knew you would come,” his icy voice made me jump back. I looked up and found her staring at the wall, her bare back turned to me. The black lacy gown she wore cascaded down to the floor, flowing lazily behind her, her dark hair was curled up and pulled into a tight bun, and the dull jewelry clad around her body matched the mourning dress she wore. “Did someone die?” I mocked and

~Nathan~My eyes darkened in fear as I staggered back, balancing my weight on the chair beside Aurora’s large mattress.“Are you surprised?” she scoffed, twirling her hair around her fingers.“How did you know?” I muttered, my eyes staring into a space I couldn’t make out.“Do you underestimate me?” Aurora laughed evilly, her glittering little teeth flashed against her flawless skin.“You’re going to tell Alpha Xander, won’t you?” I asked, my voice came out almost like a whisper.“Do you know the torture I went through in Xander’s hand? Do you think you will still be standing with your head on your neck if I am going down soon?” Aurora scoffed and stared at her nails.“You won’t tell him?” I asked again.“I’m not going down yet, if I am going down then you will be going down with me,” she replied, a sinister smile spread across her face.I stared intently at her, wondering what she was driving at.“What do you mean, Aurora?” “If you don’t want your head on a stake, protect

~Nathan~ The look on Alpha Xander’s face almost knocked me off my feet. I maintained my stance and searched for an honest answer to his question. “I… we… I’m sure there must be a mistake made somewhere,” I rapped out. Xander didn’t buy that, he was determined to probe deeper into this. “You knew about this, didn’t you?” He said in a hoarse voice. I snapped my head up and shook my head vigorously in a negative response. “You don’t?” He scoffed and took a few steps towards me. I wanted to step back but my frozen feet wouldn’t bulge, it felt like my body was paralyzed. “Even Aurora don’t?” he muttered, his penetrating eyes trying to dig out the truth written in my heart. “I…” “I do!” A crisp voice replied behind Xander and he turned. “I wanted to tell you, but you had me locked up so I couldn’t reach you,” Aurora said, smiling innocently. I admired her skill of giving off a flawless act. I wondered how she was always able to fool people with that face. “And Dariu

~Nathan~ I turned slowly on seeing his eyes on me, Xander also craned his neck and stared at me, a deep frown on his face. “What’s this about?” He muttered the sound of his voice sent shivers down my spine. I gulped down nothing as I began to feel a sickening sensation in the pit of my stomach. Alpha Romulus diverted his eyes to another direction and I felt my nerves relax a bit. “I don’t have any accomplice from your Pack,” Alpha Romulus muttered. Xander scoffed, his eyes darkening in anger. He craned his neck backward and nodded for me to come closer. My heart skipped as I obeyed his instruction and trudged closer. He grabbed my neck and pushed me against the blood-covered table. “He is the one, isn’t he?” he growled, tightening his grip on my neck. I felt my vitals contract as oxygen vanished from my body, and my eyes became teary as a result of his hold on my neck. “Alpha…” I coughed out. Alpha Romulus stared blankly at me. With the way he stared, I think he

~Elena(Louisa)~ It was hard trying to convince Kayla and my foster parents to let me go, though they had no other choice but to heed my request. I was told that I was found floating on the shore of a beach the day they found me. They took me to the hospital and had me saved but when I woke up, I couldn’t remember anything about myself, not even my name. My foster parents, who had lost their daughter a month before they found me, took me in and named me after her, Louisa Neville. I was given the nickname ‘Luna’ because they thought I had a peculiar scent that didn’t belong to the human race. It was hard being who I wasn’t and leaving who I was but somehow, the cruel fate that separated Xander and I eight years ago was able to bring us back together, this time in a different way, in the best way. I wasn’t a contract Luna, nor Nathan’s mate. I was Alpha Xander’s true Luna, his fated mate. And this time around, nothing will be able to separate me and Xander. “Are you

~Xander~ I touched her pale face, tracing her chin with my fingers slowly. She stirred and fluttered her lashes, groaning loudly as her hand flew to her forehead. “Elena?” I called out even if she might decline to be Elena like she did the first time we met. Her eyes snapped open and she sat up on the bed. She glanced around the room and her eyes fell on her parents and sisters. "Mother, father," she gasped out and my brows snapped up in surprise. They gasped out and wrapped their hands around her. "I missed you so much, sister," Areola sobbed and hugged her. Melsa walked closer to Elena and rubbed her cheeks. "You are alive?" she muttered with tears glistening in her eyes. I watched Elena nod her head before burying her head on her shoulder. Elena's father glanced at me and gestured for the others to leave the room with him. I was the last person her eyes fell on and when it did, it widened in shock. “Xander,” the sound of my name from her mouth made me raise my

~Louisa~ My lips parted, and I let out a scream that got Kayla running into my room. My door burst open, and I clenched unto Kayla, who rushed to me. “Wolf, wolf!” I exclaimed, pointing at the spot I found it earlier but to my surprise, there was nothing there. Was the wolf gone, or was I hallucinating? “There is nothing there,” Lisa’s annoying voice spoke up. “Tell me what happened, honey, calm down,” Kayla muttered, rubbing my back soothingly. I took in a deep breath and started my explanation. “I saw a wolf, a huge black wolf, standing right there,” I pointed at the spot again. Lisa chuckled in disbelief. I narrowed my eyes at her and faced Kayla. “You need to believe me, Kay, it was standing right there, staring at me with golden eyes. It must have run into the woods when I screamed, I saw it!” I screamed out. My heart sank when I saw the look on Kayla’s face. She doesn’t believe me too, she thought I was making it all up. “I’m not making it up,” I whispered

~Louisa~ The shrill ringtone of my phone got me groaning as I forcefully snapped my eyes open and reached out for my phone, which had been ringing for half an hour. I gasped out loudly as my mom’s name flashed across the screen. “Hello, mummy,” I muttered, sitting up on the bed. “What took you so long to answer your phone, huh? I’ve been calling for hours; I thought something bad had happened to my sweet baby. You got us all so worried that I thought I would die of heartache. Isn’t the place nice? Do you want to switch—” “Mom, I’m fine!” I snapped, making her stop her endless talk. I heard her sigh in relief. “Why didn’t you pick up your calls? We called for hours.” “I was asleep, and besides, it’s not even up to an hour since I fell asleep,” I replied, narrowing my eyes at the exaggeration she was making. “Whatever, whatever, tell me how that place is, hmm? Do you like it?” “Well…” This is my chance to get away from the weird surroundings that no one loves to come

~Louisa~ I pushed Jason away and when I spun around, the stranger was gone. I faced Jason, filled with anger. “Are you crazy?” “Luna—” “I don’t like you!” My outburst made Kayla cringe back in shock. Jason’s lips parted and slammed together. I sighed out, trying to calm down after what he had done. “I’m sorry, Jason, I understand how you feel about me, but I don’t feel the same way for you,” I confessed. Kayla walked up to us and tried to talk me out of what I was saying but I shooed her out, standing on my words. “I don’t love you, Jason. You should find someone who does.” My heart shrank in guilt as disappointment and pain laced across his face. “Thank you for telling me the truth, Louisa,” he replied and walked away, not sparing a glance. Though I was filled with guilt for hurting him I was glad that I told him the truth before his feelings got deeper. I felt like a burden had been taken out of my heart. A hard slam on my head brought me bac

~Louisa~ “Brandon?” I scoffed and turned to take another path but he drew me back, clenching unto my arm. “Hey, let me go!” I yelled. “I have missed you, Luna; let’s get back together again; I promise to be a good boy,” he said, mischief twinkling in his dark eyes. I scowled at him, certain that there was no single ounce of repentance in him. When he didn’t relent to my warnings, I splashed the brandy on his face. The liquid got into his eyes and stung him greatly, forcing him to release me. “You scumbag, don’t you dare show up in front of me again,” I snapped at him and sent my feet into his groin. He cursed loudly and dropped to the ground, his face wrinkling in pain. “That’s for showing your disgusting face in front of me,” I muttered and blessed him with an eye-rolling slap, making him spit out blood. “And that’s for saying shit.” I grabbed a bottle of liquor and cups and went down to the place I had left Nat. As expected, she was waiting patiently for me. “

~Xander~ I stood by the window, watching the cars that drove in and out of the large gate of the castle. “Dear,” Mother’s voice piped behind me, and I shifted my attention away from the bustling activities below the castle. “Are you still drinking?” Mom asked and I glanced at the bottle of liquor on the table. “You don’t have to worry about me, Mother; I am fine,” I muttered, cupping her cheeks. She sighed and rubbed my hairy arm. “The elders are waiting for you in the throne room. It’s been eight years, and you’re yet to find a Luna for the people. Besides, we need an heir, too. Everyone is worried,” Mother muttered, and the smile on my face disappeared. I narrowed my eyes and pulled my wardrobe open then picked out a shirt. “I will wait for Elena to return.” Mother sighed at the words she had been hearing for the past eight years. “No one survives in that water, you said it yourself. She must be dead, she—” “I am leaving for the meeting,” I cut her off, slipping on the sh

~Louisa~ “One, two, three, go!” We chorused and poured the shots of liquor down our throats. “Oh shit! This burns,” Kayla muttered in a croaky voice. “I’ve got lots of projects this week,” Philo chipped, popping on a bubble gum. “And here you are drinking,” I chuckled. “Come on guys, what’s the motto!” Natasha snapped and we poured another shot and raised it over our head before screaming our absurd motto. “Drink now, study later!” We poured down the shot and slammed the tumblers on the table, coughing and breathing hard in laughter. “We should come here tomorrow, don’t you girls think so?” Natasha said and they all nodded their head in approval. “What about you, Luna?” Natasha asked, their eyes fixed on me. “Me?” I stammered and shook my head, backing out of the plan. “I’ve got work to do.” “Work?” Philo muttered, twitching her lips in disgust. “Community service. An architect student will never understand,” I replied, narrowing my eyes at her. They all bur
