Sheila slept through Dominic coming to say my dad is dead and her parents are locked up. The relief I felt was incredible as I sat beside my mate's bed.

"Sheila, I say softly touching her, sweetheart wake up",she rubs her eyes and yawns.

"hmmmm, she tries to sit up, what is wrong?",she is so tiny.

"your parents are locked up. Dominic came by and said my dad is dead and your parents are in a cell",she looked shocked.

"really",she rubbed her eyes more.

"yes we are free to go anywhere ",her eyes widen.

"wow I'm free",tears fill her eyes.

"we both are",I'm thrilled I was under my dad's thumb long enough with him gone I can lead the pack fair and happy. No more trying to take from other packs. I....no we could live in peace now.

"fucking finally ",I gather her close and hold her. I feel her arms go around me hesitantly and hold in my sigh. I was awful to her at first because my dad watched everything I did.
