CHAPTER 03

It is 7:30 a.m., and I am preparing to start my daily chores. They do not allow me to study, despite my pleas. Scrubbing the floor, washing the dishes, collecting the trash, and various other tasks are assigned to me.

"Can I take a break?" I ask the lady who is monitoring the omegas' work.

"Okay, but only for fifteen minutes. You need to be back to clean up this mess," she replies. I breathe a sigh of relief as my back aches from the physical strain. This pack is so strict and discriminates against us omegas. Today is a sunny day, so I decided to take a short walk in the forest. The trees sway gently, and the birds sing melodiously.

"Maybe when I turn 18, the moon goddess will bless me, and my life will improve," I whisper to myself. This forest is within our pack's territory, and I feel safe here, knowing that warriors guard the borders. I walk towards the green grass, finding peace in the serene surroundings. Being in this vast area rejuvenates my spirit. I have only 15 minutes for a break, but I make the most of it. A large rock catches my eye, and I walk towards it, finding a comfortable spot to sit.

"La la la la," I hum a tune, feeling a sense of solace amidst the peaceful scenery. The running water of the stream, the lush green forest, and the tranquil atmosphere create the perfect combination for seeking solace. If only my life could be as perfect. But nobody's life is perfect, so I will endure until I turn 18. I close my eyes and let the cool breeze and the sounds of nature wash over me.

"Uhm, hi?" a man's voice interrupts my solitude. I open my eyes and see Jazzen, the Alpha's son, standing a meter away. My heart races and my hands tremble slightly.

"The next Alpha, I greet you, sir," I say shyly, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness.

"You can call me Jazzen," he replies, closing the distance between us. My heart beats faster as he walks towards me, his hands gently cupping my face.

"The first time I saw you, I had a feeling that you were the one for me. Despite our positions, I want you to know that I like you," Jazzen confesses, his eyes locked with mine.

"Are you sure you have feelings for me? You know that we are in different positions. What if they don't approve of us?" I ask, my worry evident in my voice.

"We can keep our relationship a secret for now, for your safety. Once I become the Alpha, I will appoint you as my Luna," Jazzen reassures me.

"Okay, I just can't believe that you like me out of all the people who adore you, J-Jazzen," I say, my voice filled with disbelief and joy. He pulls me into a tight embrace, and I rest my head on his broad shoulder.

"So, I want you to know that this is our secret meeting spot. We can meet here and spend time together, doing the things that lovers do. I am grateful that you came into my life," Jazzen whispers.

We sit together on the rock, cherishing the newfound connection between us. Jazzen instructs me on how to leave our hiding spot so that no one becomes suspicious of our relationship. He leaves first, and I follow several minutes later, ensuring that we do not draw attention.

"I will see you again soon. I will send you a letter to arrange our next meeting," Jazzen said. My heart swells with happiness as I watch him go. From now on, my life feels brighter, and I am filled with hope for a future together.

“ I will come first so that people will not be suspicious of us. You should leave after several minutes here. I will send a letter when we will be meeting again".

He left without looking back but I know that he fancied me. My life from now on will be nice and shortly I will be the next Luna of the pack. I dream that I will be respected by them.

Time passed and it was time for me to go back inside for my work. Cleaning this hallway is much easier now as I recall the moments with Jazzen.

“ Is this what they called lovesick"?

I said of course with my mind only. The pack is busy cleaning the houses. Tomorrow is the day that I will resume my class. I am so excited and happy at the same time. I hope that Jazzen will be an Alpha already so that we can publicize our relationship.

Today is Wednesday, September 17. The day that I was grateful and felt much happier. Once I am done cleaning the hallway. We all the omegas will go back already in our every home.

“ So much excited for tomorrow ".

I opened my eyes it was 6 a.m. and I glanced at the alarm clock beside my bed on the table. It is two hours left for the school to start. Taking a bath, eating breakfast, and brushing my teeth faster. Thirty minutes left and I need to walk now for my first class.

“ Catherine is strangely behaved she did not harass me early in the morning. Good for her she will just focus on upgrading herself to be a good werewolf". The road is rough but I am enduring this every day just to go to school.

“ Okay, class dismiss". The professor of my last class just ended the class. Today is just a normal day not much exciting. I walk towards the door and the school hallway. Catherine is walking in my way her school uniform is messy and her makeup is not presentable.

After a few steps, I saw that she had a red mark on her right neck. She just stared at me and smirked. What a creepy woman.

She did not say anything that meant words to me it was just weird.

A letter has been sent by a man to me in my home. It is a red letter with a beautiful flower in it.

He is so romantic that he decorated it to my liking. I open the letter and it says like this.

“ Dear my love I know that you are my special loved one. You will be my other half and will be my partner since I am alive. I will meet you tomorrow at 5 a.m. in the forest". Sincerely Jazzen.

4:30 in the morning and I am already at our meeting spot. Arriving early is my goal for him. That he will not wait for me when he is the first to arrive here. I already look presentable when I wake up so early just to be with him already.

Just as I was listening to the sound of nature. A gunshot can be heard several steps from my location. My heart beats fast as I am worried for Jazzen it is 5:00 a.m. already and I glance at my wrist for my watch.

I walk slowly towards where the gunshot can be heard. A silhouette of a man had been shot and was lying on the ground. A pool of blood is being spread slowly on the green grass.

“ Someone please help! A man has been shot here". I held him and I noticed that he was the man I had been seeing recently. He is Jazzen the next alpha of this pack. I don't know what to do.

Suddenly voices can be heard not far from our location. After several steps and a loud voice from a woman I heard.

“ Help J-jazzmen has been shot". Trembling from the shock and his being hurt.

“ You murderer! What did you do to my dearest Jazzen. Hurting him because he chose me and not you stupid bitch". The woman has been hysterically spouting words is none other than Catherine.

“ I-I did not hurt him. When I was there already I heard a gunshot. When I approached here already I saw him here lying in his blood". Explaining to her was nonsense as I saw her angry face looking at me.

“ Arrest here and put her in the dungeon. I know there is another mastermind behind it. She hurt the future and the next Alpha of this pack and my love.

Several men wanted to arrest me. I stand up and run as fast as I can. I was so confused by the sudden events. I look behind and all I can see is the men who are chasing me. They caught up immediately and right now I was held by them in my both arms.

Right now I am being questioned about this room. The Alpha of this pack and his subordinates are also here. I have been starved for about a day.

“ Why did you shoot my son? What is your motive? Did someone order you so that my pack will be weakened"? All eyes of them stared at me angrily.

“ I did not shoot him also I like him. Why do I have to hurt him? When I approached him he was shot already. I have been waiting for him yesterday. Suddenly I heard the sound of a gunshot. Then I saw him lying and full of blood in his body". I said to them.

“ You lying piece of a murderer. You planned all this out just because Jazzen rejected your advances. It took a toll on you to revenge on him". Catherine shouted in the room.

“ Please someone believe me I can not do that to him. We have had a great relationship recently. He promised me when he would be the next Alpha I would be his Luna".

“ Liar! You are such a hypocrite omega. Jazzen does not want or care for you. He does not feel any lingering feelings and despises you for being an omega". Catherine charged at me and slapped my face very hard.

“ My daughter, what is the meaning of this? Why they are accusing you of hurting the next Alpha"? My mother approached me and was saddened by the situation. She was crying heavily as she was saddened by my situation.

“ Now that the family of the suspect is here, I will now order as your Alpha of this pack. This omega will be executed immediately". Father of Jazzen said.

“ No please do not execute my daughter. I will take her place for the crime she did not commit". My mother pleaded as the man was furious about the situation.

“ Drag the family of this wretched Omega and throw them at the edge of the cliff. The murderer will be put in the position of a slave for the rest of her life".

“ Mom! Dad! Please don't do this! I did not want to hurt Jazzen! No! ". I cried and was overwhelmed. I just can not believe that once I feel the happiness right now is the opposite.

Several men dragged my parents harshly. I felt useless and helpless. If only I had not been involved with Jazzen. Catherine approached me and kicked me in my abdomen. I spit a red liquid out of my mouth. She whispers the words that break me into pieces.

" If only you just stayed stupid and did not approach my man. You would not be so pitiful right now. Guards drag this stupid omega and place it into the front for humiliation". Catherine mocks and fakes her crying tactics as she is being held by her parents.
