Chapter Ninety-Four

The morning was almost over and Jasmine was still nowhere to be found. Adonai had taken her to his room yesterday instead of bringing her here but I was in no position to question that. After all, she was his mistress.

But I was her best friend and he deprived me of her. I had to sleep all by myself in her room. I was sure she felt much better this morning so why had she decided to remain in his room? I crossed my legs comfortably on the large bed and had a large bite of the bread I was eating. I had the room all to myself so I could do whatever I wanted.

The dinner last night might have ended uneventfully but I had observed certain things I had to myself to ponder on.
