Ethel was determined. "I've made up my mind. I want a divorce."

"You don't want that man anymore?" Sophia asked.

Hatred filled Ethel's eyes. "No, I don't want him. Even if I force myself to stay with him, he won't be a good role model for the child. You're right. We're all new to this life. There's no need for me to compromise."
