His palm grazed my cheek and slightly stroked it. I leaned in his touch, my blue gaze drinking in the sincere expression of his features.

"You didn't have to give me a hint. I had planned to do my own digging. I've been too trusting in the past. Now I'll take matters into my own hands and verify."

"I'll be waiting to hear about your findings." I gave a small smile. "This time I have nothing to lose. But if your love is true and you can't find the truth, you will lose me forever."
