Leah's Pov

"Axel!!" I screamed, frozen in shock as I witnessed him take the bullet meant for me.

Blood splattered across my face and my heart pounded in panic as Axel slowly went down, his eyes weakly closing.

"Axel," I sobbed, dropping to my knees beside him.

"Someone call an ambulance!" a voice cried out as the chaos swirled around us.

Through the commotion, Axel weakly called my name, a faint smile ghosting across his lips. "Leah," he said, his voice barely a whisper.

"Please hold on, the ambulance will be here soon," I pleaded, cradling his head in my lap, desperate to offer him comfort in his final moments.

Axel's hand reached for mine, the warmth of his blood staining my skin as he held on tightly.

"Please don't leave me," I sobbed, my heart aching as I gazed into his piercing blue eyes.

Even though I had tried to protect myself from being hurt by him, I couldn't deny the overwhelming rush of love that coursed through me as I watched him slip away.
