Hi, Purplelites! I hope that you are still enjoying the story. :) I also hope that you leave a review for the book to let other readers know what you think. As always, I would love to hear your thoughts. And for those who are giving me a gem or two or more. Thank you! P.S. I love reading your theories. :) Thank you so much! XOXO - Yuri Lee
Seth, Jericho, and I all went home as soon as we said our goodbyes. We passed by Purple Hill’s orphanage/daycare to drop Nikki off. I look at the building and there was something about it that makes it looks so interesting and charming despite its very old exterior. Suddenly, I got this feeling that I was missing something. Suddenly my eyes start crying and I feel like my heart is breaking.“Are you okay, baby?” Seth asks me as I wipe the tears that just came out of nowhere.“I am,” I exclaimed in surprise, “I honestly don’t know why I am crying.”“Actually,” Seth said as he looks ahead, “Something is also nagging me. Like I was forgetting something very important. It’s like there is a hole in my heart but I can’t seem to find what to fill it in,” he added as he clenches his shirt above his heart. “Don’t get me wrong, baby. You know that you complete me. But whatever it was, I feel like that gaping hole in my heart had some relation with yours,” Seth explains. “I get the same feel
After some fun times with Seth, he dropped me off at the training academy before visiting Aunt Aurora to discuss the expansion of the Day Care and the creation of an orphanage. As I enter the training room, I saw someone in the makeshift arena having a battle. I slowly walk through the pool of warriors whose attention were on the two people in the arena who are fighting with everything I got. As I get closer, I notice a familiar head and I approach him to know what was happening. “Hey,” I said to Marko once I was beside him.“Hi, Luna,” Marko replied smiling.“What’s going on?” I asked just loud enough for him to hear.“Lovers quarrel,” Marko said smiling. “Lovers quarrel?” I asked in confusion as I try to get a grasp of the situation. “Wait is that Sol and Yuqi?” I asked in surprise. “Yup!” Marko replied. “How? When?” I asked as the idea does not still sink in with me. “A few months ago?” Marko said unsure, “Actually I didn’t know that Yuqi was the one that Sol was in a relati
After dropping Lana off at the training academy, I went straight to Aunt Aurora where I find a lot more kids with her than before. She was teaching the kids how to plant, and all of them look my way when they heard my parking. As I got down from my truck, Aunt Aurora wave at me. Seeing her actions the cute little kids imitate her making me wave back at them as I walk in their direction. “How was the vacation?” Aunt Aurora asks as she envelops me in her tiny little arms. “Tiring?” I said with a smile. The truth is, it felt like there were a lot of things that I forgot during my stay at Purple Hill. It’s like there was a very big gap in my head that I can’t seem to remember. But now is not the time to think about it. I have more important things to think about. “Lana said she will set a time to visit you this week,” I said as I walk with her towards the bench where Lana used to sit when she was unwell, “She just needed to check on how her trainees were and make sure they are alright
I headed towards Elder Katarin’s place for the dinner that she had prepared for us. Lana told me that she will ride with Sol and Marko and will meet me there. They were already seated in the dining area when I arrived and found an empty seat beside Lana. They all turned and smiled at me the moment they saw me. “Nice of you to join us, Alpha,” Edler Katarin greeted me as I take my seat. “Sorry,” I replied, “I got a little tied up.” “No worries,” Elder Katarin replied, “We were just getting started,” she added as she clapped her hands together and we began eating. Small chitchat about Calvin’s and Jericho’s love story filled the room. It was nice to have a casual conversation like this. It reminds us that life is beautiful. That despite the ugliness it sometimes brings, life is still beautiful. As deserts are served, the tone of the night had changed. “I know that this is something that we shouldn’t discuss,” Elder Katarin said, “But I really think that it’s time that you guys te
It was quiet for a couple of days as we continue what we have planned. Everyone was busy, especially Lana. She continued with the training of the female warriors who have improved immensely in just a few days under her supervision. She also offered to teach the ladies of the daycare and the orphanage some basic defense strategies to protect themselves. It was a project of the female warriors and part of their training to teach those who are willing to learn. An orphanage was built beside the daycare because Lana planned to have the two buildings connected with each other for easier access for Aunt Aurora. After all these things that Lana is busy with, she began creating a safe place for the people of the Black Moon pack. If my grandfather’s safe place was located in the packhouse, Lana created a gateway for each house in the Black Moon pack. The moment that Lana opens the portal, every one of the Black Moon Pack people would be able to access the entrance. The downside of this pla
I was getting the hang of using magic. Honestly, I still can’t believe that I have become a full-blown mage. Looking back. I never would have imagined becoming one. I was always happy doing physical training and left the magic training to my sister. There are times when I miss Dana. Especially, when I see kids playing with each other. We used to be like that, you know. We used to be inseparable. We use to have each other’s back despite the knowledge that she was the Chosen One. I don’t exactly know what happened between us. Maybe we were still immature then. But whenever I think of how things went bad between us, I can’t really put all the blame on her. To tell you the truth, after all the things that had happened to us and especially to me, I no longer feel the same anger I feel when Nori chose her and she said yes. I guess my pain then was because of the betrayal I had felt from both of them. But whenever I think about it again, I realize also that it wasn’t really their faul
There are a lot of things in my life right now that I can’t seem to explain. It feels like I was living a life that isn’t mine at all. It even came to the point that I don’t recognize myself at all. I sat in my truck looking at the empty and dark house in front of me. I tried over and over again to be able to make it up to Dana. And it somehow worked until Lana came to visit.Dana started talking about things that I thought we have already moved past on. But then, just a sight or the knowledge that Lana was close drove her to the edge. I have to admit that Lana was exceptionally beautiful right now, which could only mean that her husband was taking good care of her. I look again at my sad dark home and realize how much I miss being with Lana and Calvin. I miss those times when we go for drinks and chill out or when we goof around along with Leon and Drake. Speaking of which, Leon and Drake also seem to be pretty busy these days. All I know was that they were having extra pieces o
I have never seen so many dead bodies in my life until now. Calvin and I stood in shock as we see half of the city burning. “What is happening?” Calvin asks the same question I have in my mind. ‘Drake!’ I shouted through the mind link, ‘Where are you?’ But received no response.“Let’s keep as many of our people safe as we can,” I said to Calvin but Calvin was not moving. Instead, it seems like he was like a frozen statue that was unable to move. “Calvin!” I shouted at him, snapping him out of the nightmare trance that he was trapped in.He slowly staggered along but was able to kick away a rogue wolf that was about to attack the children not far from where he’s at. We continue to guide the people out as we fight off the small rogues that come our way. To make things faster Calvin and I decided to shift into our wolf form to ensure the safety of our people. ‘Nori,’ Drake said through a mind link he opened for us, ‘Where are you located?’ He asked. I looked around me and I noticed
