WENDY'S POV
“Umm,” the lawyer began before pausing to clear his throat. He then continued, “Ma'am, I suggest you just sign these papers and let's get this over with. It won't take you more than a minute.”
My voice was firm and strong, so unwilling and unyielding that it felt like someone else was speaking through me. “And I said I do not want to sign these papers. Go back to your Alpha and tell him that. If he has any other thing to say or do, let him come to me directly. Until then, don't approach me again.”
He tried one more time. “Please, try to see reason here. Just sign it.”
I didn't back down, didn't flinch as I said, “Leave. Now.”
The lawyer sighed and gathered the papers together back into his briefcase. “I see you still need sometime to yourself after the traumatic event that has happened. It's understandable. You're not fully in your right state of mind. I'll come back another time.”
Bastard, I seethed angrily, I would kill him the next time he sets his foot in this room.
As soon as the door closed fully behind him, I pulled myself off the bed and struggled to the bathroom, my heart racing with disbelief and fear.
What had happen earlier in the room? My-my wolf. My wolf had shown itself to me — for the first time.
Or had I been hallucinating? Had it been the effects of the drugs I had been given?
I shook my head. No. No. I had seen it clearly, heard its voice clearly as if it had been beside me.
Slowly, I approached the mirror, scared at what I might find — or what I wouldn't.
But it was there, the other version of me, staring back.
It was my very own wolf. White fur, burning red eyes.In awe, I stretched my hand out to the mirror as if I could make a physical contact with it.
“Where have you been?” I asked, my voice a choked hushed whisper. “I've been waiting for you, searching. I've been called names, ostracised, treated like the lowest of the low all because —” I pushed the tears back and continued, “all because you weren't here. Why didn't you show up sooner?” I asked, my voice shaking. “I've been ridiculed and belittled by everyone in the pack. They think I'm weak because I don't have a wolf.”
My wolf's eyes seemed to glow as it said, “I'm here now, Wendy, and you won't have to go through such things again. My name is Whitney, and I'm so sorry for all you've been through. Our lineage of wolves is rare, proud, and powerful, only able to make connection with our human side when we feel the human is truly ready for it. But you... you're a people pleaser. You've always tried to fit in, to make others happy. And that's why we couldn't connect.”
I felt a pang of guilt and shame at its words. Was it true? Had I been so focused on pleasing others that I'd neglected my own true nature and forced my wolf into the furthest part of me?
Yes, a tiny voice said in my head. Yes, you have.
I had spent my entire life trying to meet everyone else’s expectations, trying to be the perfect Luna, the perfect mate, the perfect daughter — trying to make up for the fact that I was different, that I didn't have a wolf like the rest of them.
I had buried parts of myself in order to fit into a mold that had never truly been mine, all because I wanted to fit in.
I sniffed back the mucus that threatened to run down my nose and asked, “So why are you here now? And what do you mean by revenge the other time in the room?”Whitney's eyes seemed to bore into mine as it replied, “Exactly that. Revenge,”
“I still don't get you,”
Whitney's expression turned cold and hard. “Are you willing to let Rosina, Brittany, and George get away with what they did? They killed your baby, Wendy, threw you away and framed you for a crime you didn't commit. Are you willing to do something about it or are you willing to forgive and forget just like that?”
I gave a little disbelieving laugh. “Forgive and forget? That's not possible. I could never forget what they had done to me. But what can I do? I clearly can't take them on.” Tears pulled in my eye as I remembered the events of the past few days. “There's nothing I can do. They won.”
“You want to let them win,” said Whitney, her voice a strong force. “They'll win because you're not ready to do anything about it.”
“No, no. Please don't say that. I want to see them suffer for what they've done to me but what can I do? I'm not strong enough.”
I had been fighting them for years and right now, I was tired. I give up.
Whitney's eyes seemed to gleam with determination. “That's where you're wrong, Wendy. You are strong enough. You just need to let me take over. Let me join hands with you, and together, we'll show them what we're made of.”
My breath caught in my throat and I hesitated, unsure of what to do. I was overwhelmed by the intensity of Whitney’s words, by the idea of taking power back into my own hands.
It was a foreign thought, one that had never crossed my mind. All my life, I had been taught to be passive, to avoid conflict, to let things go for the sake of peace. But now, with Whitney’s presence inside me, it felt like everything had changed. I might just have a chance.
But....
“I - I don't know, Whitney. Is it possible? Will it be worth it?”
“Yes, it will be,” she said firmly. “Ready?”
I shut my eyes, took a deep breath, and said,
“Ready.”
All of a sudden, I felt a surge of power flow through me and it felt like someone else was taking over and making changes to my body.
When I popped open my eyes, they were no longer mine. They were now the piercing red eyes of my wolf, and my blond hair had now turn pure white — the color of Whitney's fur.
Wendy no longer exists. Only a woman out for vengeance.

BRITTANY'S POVI popped the champagne cork, and Queen Rosina let out a delighted squeal. We were alone in the palace, freely sharing our joy and happiness with what had happened. We had achieved what we set out to do – get rid of Wendy.“To us,” Queen Rosina said, raising her glass. “To our perfect plan,”I clinked my glass against hers, taking a sip of the bubbly liquid. It was sweet, just like our victory.“Finally,” I murmured. Queen Rosina’s lips curled into a satisfied smirk. “That Wendy bitch is out of the way, as she should’ve been from the start.” Wendy. The name alone was enough to send a ripple of resentment through me. For years, I had stood by, forced to watch her take everything that should have been mine. And for what? Because George had some stupid attachment to his childhood sweetheart? It was pathetic. “She never belonged here,” I said, my voice sharp and bitter. “The pack didn’t want her, the council didn’t respect her, and George…” I paused, swallowing the b
George’s PovI sat at my desk, staring at the divorce papers in front of me with barely contained anger. The lawyer I had sent to Wendy with the papers had brought them back earlier, saying she refused to sign them. That act of defiance from her pissed me off more than anything. I wanted to move on. I wanted the closure these divorce papers would bring and how dare she deny me that? She was the one who had thrown what we had away to the dogs, so she had no right to deny me my wish. The lawyer said she had been on the verge of signing it before she abruptly changed her mind. Why? What had made her change her mind? Then I thought about the alimony I had offered her. Was it too small? Was that why she was being so stubborn? Because she wanted more?I gritted my teeth in anger. What this meant was that she had only been with me for the money. She had only been acting like a loving wife because of the money she could get from me. There was never any love for me on her part. Chapter 8George’s POV“I have to save her!” I screamed as I renewed my efforts to get to the car. “I have to save my wife!”I threw off my Beta running towards the car. Despite the yelling and screaming coming from the passerby, I paid them deaf ears. I couldn't let her die,she can’t die because it will be on my conscience. She betrayed me and maybe I do hate her, but that doesn't mean she gets to leave me in this world. Tears were already streaming down my face. Few meters away from the car, that’s when I heard a yell. “The car’s fuel is leaking, you can't go near it because it would blow.” I didn't stop, I have to save my woman. I took another step and the car exploded, the explosion throwing me back. I hit my back on the floor hard and I swear I could hear a bone crack. Tears streamed down my face, blurring my vision. I could see the fire department trying to put out the fire, people gathering around me, whispering in hushed voices. “No!” I whispered. Somewhere in my memory,

His grip was too tight, holding me against him strongly.“Help!” I screamed, hoping, wishing, that anyone would hear me and come to my rescue. “Hel—!”He suddenly pressed his palm against my mouth, cutting the word shut.“Come on now, baby,” he said, breathing against my mouth as he shoved me to the bed. “Be calm and I promise to be gentle.”“Let me go! You can't hide anymore.”Desperate, I turned to Brittany. “Brittany, don't do this, please. You were there—”“Nope,” my step-sister said, shaking her head. “Keep me out of your dramas, Wendy.”“My drama?! Brittany, please. You have to tell the truth! Why are you doing this? Why?! What have I ever done to you?!”“Done to me? Oh, please, shut up! Don't try and pretend as if you're a saint. WENDY’S POVHe stopped mid-sentence and the silence in the room seemed to swallow us both.“What did you just say?” He asked.I repeated the words, this time, a little bit firmer. “I'm pregnant with your child.”The silence stretched on for a minute more, before,“Lies!” erupted the Queen. “Don't believe her, George! This is another one of her lies to sway things in her favor! Don't listen to her! She's not pregnant!”“It's true, Alpha George,” said my devil of a half-sister. “She isn't pregnant. She's just trying to sway you. Please don't believe her.”“And even if you were pregnant,” added the queen. “We all know it couldn't possibly be for George, you whore.”Her words swung deep, but I gave my husband instead, gazing into his eyes for a glimpse of the man I once knew.I whispered again, gently and with tears this time, “I'm carrying your child, George.
