Astrid’s POV

I groaned in pain when a pounding headache entered my senses as soon as I woke up.

I fluttered my eyes open and squinted in confusion when I found myself in an unfamiliar room.

I placed a hand on my head as I slowly stood up and looked around. For a moment I felt hazy until I blinked my eyes and collected myself together.

Soon enough, memories from last night flooded in my head, explaining why I was in pain, but it didn’t explain where I was.

“Astrid.” I looked up when I heard someone call my name. I came back to my senses when I saw Drystan enter the room.

“Are you okay? What do you feel?” Drystan asked me worriedly as he approached me.

Looking at him, I finally recognized the stranger last night before I fell unconscious. I couldn’t believe that it was him and he saved me.

I openly stared at Drystan for I was too stunned to speak. I did not expect that I would see him this soon.

I had just stepped down as a Luna and divorced Killian yesterday. I’m sure he had al

Nevermind, I see you added the funeral in there.

Wasn't Uncle Drystan just at her grandmother's funeral comforting her? That would mean it hasn't been years since they have seen each other.

Killian’s POV It has been three days of restlessness, waiting for Astrid to come back and beg for my forgiveness. I wasn’t expecting that she would even last for a day out there to realize her mistakes and eat back her words. She is too arrogant and prideful that she would rather sleep in the streets than admit her own mistakes. I had sent a word to all of the surrounding Packs and told them that I would break my alliance with them if ever they allowed Astrid inside their Pack. So far, all of them listened, they did not even allow Astrid to set foot in their Pack. Now, I wonder where Astrid is staying at. As the days passed by with no news of her, I hated to admit that I was getting worried about her. I had no idea where she had gone to hide, and I couldn’t even contact her through the mind link. “If you really want her to come back, why don’t you just lower yourself and search for her instead? Nothing will happen if you just wait in here!” Liam, my wolf, screamed angrily inside

Astrid’s POV I held my breath as I waited for Drystan’s answer. I have already made backup plans in my mind in case he insists on telling his nephew about my pregnancy when he suddenly lets out a huge breath.“Fine,” he muttered making me look up at him with wide eyes. “I won’t tell Killian anything if that will make you feel safe in my pack.” Drystan finally turned around and faced me with his hands inside his pockets. My shoulder relaxes upon hearing his agreement. I let out a huge sigh of relief. “Since you have left your Pack and had nowhere to go, why don’t you join our Pack instead?” My jaw dropped as his offer hung in the air. Is he serious? Did he just invite me to join his Pack when I’m his nephew’s ex-wife?“You don’t have to worry about Killian. I promise you, I wouldn’t tell him a thing. You are pregnant. It is dangerous for you to live without the support of a Pack,” Drystan explained when he saw my bewildered expression.I pursed my lips and lowered my head as I thoug

Astrid’s POV My attention was on the woman as soon she entered. I couldn’t take my eyes away from her even if I wanted to. She is so alluring and there’s just something unique about her charm. I watched how her strawberry pink curls bounced as she rushed inside with a huge smile on her face. I could only stare at her side profile.“Drystan!” She shouted happily in her serene voice. For a moment I was surprised that she didn’t address Drystan as Alpha. It seems like the two of them are really close. “Nova! You are finally back!” Drystan smiled happily at her as he faced her. He instantly dropped the business conversation he was having with his assistant when she entered. I watched as the two of them hugged each other. After that, Nova slaps Drystan on his shoulder. “What happened while I was gone, huh?” she questioned him, trying to catch up with the days she wasn’t around. “Oh, I wanted you to meet someone,” Drystan craned his neck as he searched around the cafeteria. • Reclaiming My Broken Luna   Chapter 12: Killer

Astrid’s POVFear coursed through my body when I realized that this wasn’t a simple attack. Someone ordered these werewolves to attack me. Who ordered them to kill me and how did they find out that I’m here?I held my breath and turned to my side when the werewolf tried to claw on my neck to go for an instant kill. Adrenaline rushed through my body knowing that I merely escaped death there. I pushed myself backward when the other werewolves started to appear one by one. They growled at me and bared their canines as they approached me like a predator. I used my trembling hands to search the dirt around me. I tried to look for a rock or anything that I could use to defend myself from the werewolves who were trying to kill me. I cannot die. If I die, my child will lose his chance to experience life. I don’t want to be such a bad mother to him. I stopped and my breath turned more fast and shallow when my back touched a tree. I also panicked when I did not find anything available near

  • Reclaiming My Broken Luna   Chapter 13: Broken Promise

Killian’s POV A week has passed and I still have no news about Astrid. The men I have tasked to look for her, still haven’t come back until now. The only lead we have of Astrid is the CCTV footage. However, no one could identify the stranger who had rescued her. It made things difficult for us to track her. Every day, I’m growing more impatient as time passes by. It’s been a week, but we don’t even know if Astrid is safe or not. The longer that she’s out there, the higher the chance that she is in danger. I wanted to look for her myself, but my responsibilities were keeping me from doing anything else. A lot of meetings, reports, and proposals are waiting for me to handle every day. Heck! I’ve sacrificed my sleep and even skipped dinners just to finish everything, only to receive another pile of workload the next day.My life has been an unending cycle of work recently. “Are you serious?!” I blurted out in annoyance when our Pack’s Beta suddenly entered my office with another st

  • Reclaiming My Broken Luna   Chapter 14: Femme Fatale

Giselle’s POV Killian is physically with me, but he isn’t mentally there. He has been absent-minded the whole time that he is with me and I had to force out smiles on my face and act like I don’t notice anything strange from him. Talking to him felt like I wasn’t talking to a man, he was too distant to me. Although he gives me replies, I know he is just doing it out of respect. I’m actually pissed off that he is treating me like how he was treating his ex-wife. I hope that after this dinner, things will change between us and go back to the way it was. I know he already clarified that he has no feelings for me and has no plans of having feelings for me in the future. For him, the past is past and I’m planning to change his mind. The first step in doing that is by inviting him to dinner. It doesn’t matter whether he does have feelings or not. I’m just glad that he agreed to have dinner with me which means I might still have a chance with him. “Hmmm,” a moan escaped my lips as I too

  • Reclaiming My Broken Luna   Chapter 15: Complications

Astrid’s POV The news of my death has finally spread all over the other Packs with the help of Drystan and his connection. Right now, I’m sure Killian had already received the news. However, I’m not sure if he would believe that I’m dead. With Drystan’s help and the careful preparation that we had, there’s nothing I should be worried about. I groaned weakly as I sat on the couch that is inside my room just in front of my bed. I’ve been feeling weak and lightheaded recently. No matter how much I rested and took care of myself, I wasn’t getting any better. Ever since I was attacked two days ago, my wolf has been getting weaker and weaker. I don’t know what the cause was which makes it more alarming. I could just feel the changes happening in my body and I’m doing everything that could help to make my health better. My body is turning weaker and weaker. It is also the reason why I’m not able to use my strength during the attack, apart from the fact that I was pregnant. “Ingri

Drystan’s POV “ASTRID! I know you are hiding here, Astrid! Come out this instant!”Killian’s voice rang inside the packhouse as I walked down the stairs to meet him. As soon as I saw his face, my blood boiled in an instant. How dare he cause a scene here in my Pack and pretend that he really cares about Astrid after he sent his men to kill her?Isn’t this what he wanted? To see her dead? His audacity baffles me.I locked gazes with Killian as I approached him. Our pack guards held him back, stopping him from entering the Pack. He stopped fighting against the guards and forcing himself to enter when he saw me coming. “You!” Killian’s face was red in anger as he pointed his hand out at me. “I know you are hiding Astrid. Show her to me now!” Killian demanded. I scoffed in disbelief as I approached him. What game is he playing now?“Don’t worry Killian, your wish had already come true. Astrid is dead and she’s never coming back,” I told him, knowing that he only came all the way here

Astrid’s POVThe night stretched on, endless and suffocating. The dim glow of the bedside lamp cast long shadows against the walls, but the light felt hollow—cold. The Packhouse was eerily quiet, the usual hum of distant conversations and footsteps replaced by an unbearable stillness.I sat on the edge of the bed, my fingers twisting the fabric of my shirt, my thoughts a hurricane raging inside me.Elara.Her name was carved into every thought, every breath, every aching second that passed. She was out there, in the dark, in the hands of the man who wanted nothing more than to see me broken. And I was still here. Waiting.I had tried. I had tried to listen to Killian, to hold on to the logic that we could save her together, that there was a plan, a chance. But how could I gamble my daughter’s life on a chance? What if they were wrong? What if we weren’t fast enough? What if she needed me now?My throat tightened, the guilt curling around me like a noose. I looked up, meeting his golden eyes—burning with unspoken fear. For me.For Elara. For all of us.I swallowed hard, my throat raw. “I have to go.”“No.” Killian’s grip tightened immediately, his entire body going rigid. “Absolutely not.”I stepped back, wrenching

Astrid’s POVThe walls of the Packhouse had never felt so suffocating.Days had passed since Elara was taken, but time had lost all meaning. The world outside moved on, but inside these walls, inside this nightmare, everything was frozen—suspended in a relentless cycle of fear, exhaustion, and waiting.Waiting for news. Waiting for a sign. Waiting for something, anything, to bring my daughter back. But all I had were the heavy, sinking hours in between, where every breath felt like a struggle, where every shadow in the room felt like it was closing in on me.Ryker’s condition wasn’t improving. If anything, he was getting worse. He barely spoke. He barely ate. When he did sleep, it was restless and fitful, his small hands gripping the sheets as if he were still in battle, as if he were still fighting off the monsters that had stolen his sister.Every time he closes his eyes to sleep, he wakes up screaming his sister’s name, tormented by nightmares.Ryker is blaming himself for what ha

Astrid’s POVThe corridors leading to the infirmary felt impossibly long, the walls closing in on me with every step. My heart pounded, a relentless drumbeat of panic and guilt, louder than my own breath, louder than the torches flickering along the stone walls.Ryker.My son.The thought of him lying there, unconscious and injured, made my stomach twist violently. I should have been there. I should have protected them both.Killian’s hand was firm on the small of my back, steadying me, grounding me, but I barely felt it. The only thing I could focus on was the door ahead, slightly ajar, spilling faint light into the dim hallway.I hesitated for only a second before pushing it open. The moment I saw him, my legs nearly gave out beneath me.Ryker lay on the bed, his small body dwarfed by the sheets tucked around him. His face was too pale, his lashes dark against his cheeks, his breathing slow and shallow. A thick bandage was wrapped around his head, stark against his golden hair.

  • Reclaiming My Broken Luna   Chapter 427: Weight of Failure

Astrid’s POVThe hour was unnervingly still-the kind of stillness that didn't promise peace but danger. Even the crickets had silenced their symphony, leaving the world suspended in an uneasy pause.Fresh guards had taken their positions outside Elara and Ryker's room, their heavy boots scuffing the floor before settling into still vigilance. Inside, I sat unmoving, my nails absently scraping patterns into the worn armrest of the chair. Every creak of the house, every gust of wind, felt like a warning. My wolf stirred, pacing just beneath the surface, uneasy.Killian had checked on me earlier. He'd lingered in the doorway, his golden eyes searching mine, his mouth pressed into a grim line. He didn't speak, didn't push me to leave. He didn't need to. He knew I wouldn't.I wasn't leaving my children tonight. The breeze through the open window caught the flame of a candle, snuffing it out in a final flicker. Shadows stretched long across the room. I had spent the last hour sitting by Elara and Ryker’s beds, watching their peaceful faces, willing my fears to fade away. But they hadn’t.I had always trusted my instincts, and right now, they were screaming at me. Something was wrong.Killian had tried to reassure me, promising that we had taken every precaution, that the guards stationed around our children were the best of the best. But my gut told me otherwise. Ardan was methodical. He didn’t make reckless moves. If he had stayed silent for this long, it was because he was waiting for the perfect opportunity.I wasn’t about to let him take it.I turned a corner and found Killian waiting for me outside the war room, his golden eyes watching me closely. • Reclaiming My Broken Luna   Chapter 425: Nightmares

Astrid’s POVThe unease had taken root deep in my chest, twisting tighter with each passing moment. The Packhouse bustled with warriors and scouts moving in and out, delivering updates and taking orders, but it didn’t soothe the gnawing feeling in my gut. It felt like standing on the edge of a cliff, waiting for the inevitable plunge.I stood in the war room, pretending to focus on the reports spread across the table. Maps marked with patrol routes and potential rogue movements stared back at me, but none of it felt real. My eyes kept darting to the door, half-expecting someone to rush in with news of an attack.Killian was on the other side of the room, speaking with Ryder. His golden eyes burned with intensity, and the tension in his stance betrayed his own worries, though he’d never admit them outright. Killian always bore the weight of leadership with unwavering strength, but I knew he felt the strain just as much as I did.“The eastern border,” Ryder said, his voice carrying
