Asha’s POV

The chaos outside the Packhouse was deafening, the shouts of warriors mixing with the blaring alarms.

My heart pounded in my chest as I rushed to find my father. Three warriors trailed closely behind me, their presence both reassuring and a reminder of how grave the situation was.

When I found him in the main hall, his expression was a mix of concern and focus.

The weight of leadership never left his shoulders, even now, as danger closed in on us.

“Father,” I called, my voice firm but urgent. “The rogues have breached the borders. Andros sent me to evacuate you. We have to leave now.”

His brows furrowed deeply, his gaze shifting toward the window where the faint glow of fires could be seen in the distance.

“How could this be? How could they get past the security measures so fast? We have the most advanced technology. How could the rogues enter our perimeters just like that?” My father echoed the same questions that I had, but there was no time to think.

Everyone has left already, I’m the only one who chose to turn around and go back just to fetch the book. The book. I had to retrieve it. If that book fell into the wrong hands, it would end everything and put Astrid in danger. Alpha Theron’s POV“Father, it is you who drove me to do this.”Just when I thought that nothing could surprise me more, Andros managed to prove me wrong. A bitter smile appeared on my lips as I averted my gaze from my son whom I love. I coughed, spitting blood from my mouth. After betraying me, killing me, he even has the guts to blame everything he did on me.“You gave me no choice,” Andros continued, justifying his cruel actions. “I couldn’t let you hand your position to Astrid. I can’t let you put the Pack in danger because of a lapse in your judgement. I only did what I had to do.”I remained silent, I couldn’t answer him. My heart hurts so bad that my mind couldn’t form any thoughts aside from the pain that his betrayal caused me. Andros was my pride and son. I know I wasn’t exactly a good father to him, but was I bad enough to deserve this treatment from my son?Tears streamed down my face, not because of the pain coursing through my body caused by my injuries. That pain wa

Astrid’s POVThe air was thick with the metallic tang of blood and the howls of battle. All around me, wolves clashed in brutal combat, their fur matted with dirt and crimson. The once pristine grounds of the Shadowfang Pack were now a battleground, a chaotic swirl of snarling beasts, flashing claws, and snapping jaws. But I stood tall, my human form cutting through the madness like a spearhead, directing my warriors with precision. “Form a line! Protect the children and elders!” I shouted, my voice rising above the discord. My throat burned from barking commands, but I couldn’t stop. Lives depended on me. The warriors of the Shadowfang Pack, massive wolves with sleek, dark coats, obeyed without hesitation. They moved in unison, shielding a group of terrified pack members huddled near the treeline. Their coordinated strikes drove back the advancing rogues, giving the vulnerable a chance to escape. To my left, a warrior was pinned beneath a rogue’s snapping jaws. Without thinkin

Astrid’s POV“Father,” I whispered, the word foreign on my tongue. I had never called him that before. It had always been “Alpha Theron” or just “Alpha.” Whenever I call him that, I could always see it in his face how he desired to hear me call him father.“Father, Father!” I called him repeatedly, hoping he would hear me, but it was too late.I reached out with trembling hands, brushing the blood-matted hair from his face. His skin was cold, his eyes closed, his features still etched with the dignity of the leader he had been. My vision blurred with tears that spilled over, unchecked and endless.“I’m sorry,” I choked, the words barely audible through the sobs that wracked my body. “I’m so sorry, Father. I wasn’t a good daughter. I was so hard on you, so angry. I should’ve… I should’ve forgiven you.”The words tumbled out in a torrent, each one a dagger to my heart. “I was too stubborn. Too proud. You tried to make things right, and I wouldn’t let you. I thought we had more time…

Asha’s POVThe air was thick with grief, but Astrid’s accusatory words cut through the silence like a blade. I knelt beside Father’s lifeless body, tears blurring my vision. My trembling fingers clutched his cold hand, my mind struggling to process what Astrid was implying.Betrayal? From Andros?I glanced at my brother. His face was tight with a mix of anger and hurt, his posture rigid under Astrid’s scrutiny. He looked calm, yet something about his demeanor felt off. It wasn’t guilt—it was more like a defense mechanism, a mask he wore too well. Then it hit me—a memory. A vivid flash of a conversation I had overheard just a few days ago. How could I ever forget that unfamiliar stranger and the suspicious conversation that they had. At that time I didn’t think much of it, but as I remembered the details, I start to wonder if it was all connected to what happened to us. The date and the time that was mentioned, it all corresponds to the rogue attack. The timing is too perfect to b

Asha’s POVI sat in my father’s office, the familiar scent of his presence filling the air—aged wood, leather, and a faint trace of his cologne. It was both comforting and painful. My eyes, red and puffy from crying, wandered across the room, lingering on the little things that made it undeniably his. The neatly stacked books on the shelf, the way his chair was slightly tilted as if he’d just left it moments ago, and the faint indentations on the desk where his hands often rested.Father. The word hung in my heart, heavy and aching. I closed my eyes and inhaled deeply, trying to hold onto the essence of him, even as it felt like he was slipping further away with each passing moment. My gaze dropped to the book on the desk. Its worn, ancient cover seemed unassuming, but I now knew better. I had finished reading it moments ago, and its secrets still swirled in my mind, unsettling and confusing.I looked around the room again, my father’s memory woven into every corner, every object

Asha’s POVThe smell of freshly baked bread and steaming coffee filled the air as Andros and I sat at the dining table. It felt strange, not having father eat with us. Andros is now sitting on the seat where father used to sit. My gaze flickered to Andros, watching him as he ate, seemingly unbothered. For the first time, I looked at him with suspicion, studying the slight tension in his jaw, the way his eyes were distant, and his movements sharper than usual. “You’ve been quiet,” he said suddenly, his voice breaking the silence. He set his fork down and looked at me. “Just tired,” I lied, forcing a small smile. Andros leaned back on his chair, his expression unreadable. “I’m leaving later today. I’ll take a group of warriors with me to visit the Silvermoon Pack.”My head snapped up, my stomach twisting. “The Silvermoon Pack? Why?”He raised an eyebrow at me. as if the answer were obvious. “Astrid could be hiding there. It’s the only place she’d run for protection.”A chill run d

Asha’s POVThe pieces began to fall into place, and my chest tightened with realization. Astrid had been hiding something from me all this time. Her recent actions, her sudden aloofness, as if creating distance between us — it all made sense now.“She knew,” I murmured, the words more a thought than a question.Asha nodded. “She did. And she kept it hidden from everyone, even me.”“She lost control once,” I said quietly, more to myself than to Asha. “I saw her wolf, and she was terrified. I didn’t know what it meant at the time, but now…”I ran a hand through my hair, guilt clawing at me. “She was carrying this burden alone, and I wasn’t there for her. I let her push me away again because I thought she needed space. I should have known better.”“Don’t blame yourself,” Asha said softly. “She’s been hiding this her entire life. My father protected her, but he didn’t tell Andros or me. And now…”Her voice faltered, and I looked at her sharply. “What about your father? What did he think

Astrid’s POVKillian halted mid-step, his shoulders stiffening as he turned to face me. His brow knitted together, the golden hue of his eyes darkening with unease. “What do you mean?” he asked, his voice low, guarded.I hesitated for just a heartbeat before the words poured out, tumbling over each other in a rush. “Alpha Cedric,” I said, my voice tight with urgency. “At the council meeting—he stood up, questioning us, doubting our leadership, our decisions.”Killian’s brows pinched together as he processed my words. “What if… what if it wasn’t just him being confrontational? What if it was intentional? Designed to sow distrust, to divide us?” I asked him Killian’s gaze sharpened, his eyes narrowing as he digested my words. A flicker of understanding crossed his face, followed by something colder, harder. Slowly, he nodded. “I’ve been thinking the same thing,” he admitted, his tone heavy with thought. “When Andros suggested there could be a traitor, Cedric was the first person w

I felt my chest tighten, the implications settling like a stone in my stomach. “What do you mean?” I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.Andros’s gaze dropped again, his shoulders slumping as if the weight of his confession was too much to bear. “If you suspect that someone’s feeding the rogue king information, it wasn’t me. It must be someone close to you,” he answered. “Since they know so much about the Pack, it could be someone in your ranks. Tell me, is there anyone acting weird recently? Anyone you think that is hiding something.”“That’s impossible,” I instantly blurted out. “All of us wanted the rogue king gone. All of us were helping each other to overcome this crisis. Why would someone betray us and work with the rogue king?”“I’m not the one leaking information to the rogue king,” Andros spoke sternly. “Who do you think it is?” The question that escaped Killian’s mouth made me look at him. “Killian, what are y

Astrid's POVThe air in the dungeon was damp and heavy, clinging to my skin like a second layer. The faint flicker of the bright light painted uneasy shadows on the stone walls, casting long, distorted shapes that felt as restless as the questions swirling in my mind. Killian and I stopped outside Andros’s cell, and for a moment, neither of us spoke.Andros sat against the wall, his posture slouched, his gaze fixed somewhere distant, as though we weren’t there. His face was pale, worn, and etched with the weight of regret he had carried silently since Rowena’s death.“Andros,” I said, my voice softer than I intended. It was impossible to ignore how different he looked now, like a man who had already resigned himself to whatever fate we would decide. His dark eyes flicked toward me briefly before dropping back to the ground. “What now?” he asked, his voice hollow, lacking the defiance I used to know.Killian stepped forward, his tone firmer than mine. “We need answers,” he said. “T

My heart pounded, each beat echoing louder in my ears as confusion and disbelief clawed at my thoughts. The Forsaken Amulet was destroyed. Rowena sacrificed her life to ensure it could never be used again. Why would the rogues come back for it? What could they possibly want with shattered remnants?Killian stood beside me, rigid as stone, his golden eyes locked on the warrior. “Are you sure?” he asked, his voice low, taut with restrained fury.“Yes, Alpha,” the warrior said, bowing his head. “We inspected the area as you instructed, to see if the rogues left anything behind—clues, weapons, anything. But instead, we found the fragments… gone.”Gone. The word echoed in my mind, a drumbeat of confusion. I tried to piece together the rogue king’s motives, but nothing made se

  • Reclaiming My Broken Luna   Chapter 403: Council Meeting

Astrid’s POVThe tension in the room was suffocating. The large council chamber, usually filled with calm deliberation, was now a battlefield of words. Alphas and Lunas from across the packs are all gathered around in one room, their gazes heavy with doubt and mistrust. Killian and I decided to call this meeting to inform everyone about the recent events and to formulate another plan for the future. “We heard that Andros is back, that he came back to the Pack with you, was that true?” One of the Alphas asked. I nodded my head. “That’s true. Although he is banned to enter any Packs, I made my decision out of careful consideration. While we are unsure of where his alliances lies, it would be safe if he is here with us where we could monitor him.”“Andros cannot be trusted,” Alpha Raiden of the Thunderclaw Pack said, his voice cold and unyielding. “He betrayed us once—no, twice. Do you expect us to believe he won’t do it again?”Several heads nodded in agreement, murmurs spreading li

Astrid’s POVI studied Andros’s face as he spoke, searching for even the faintest trace of deceit, but there was none. His expression was raw, stripped bare of his usual indifference, and in its place was something achingly human. Beneath the steady timbre of his voice, I caught a faint sadness—not just for Rowena, but for Killian, too. It made my chest tighten.I turned to Killian and felt my heart break at the sight of him. His golden eyes, usually so fierce and commanding, burned with a storm of emotions that threatened to drown him—anger, sorrow, regret. He stood frozen, like a man facing the wreckage of his entire world.“Then why didn’t she?” Killian’s voice, sharp and brittle, sliced through the heavy air. His fists trembled, clenched so tightly at his sides that his knuckles were white. “If she regretted everything so much, why didn’t she just say something? Why didn’t she stop?”Andros let out a quiet sigh, leaning his head back against the damp stone wall. “Because she c

His golden eyes bore into Andros, demanding answers, demanding a reason to justify what was unfathomable.Andros’s gaze flickered, the indifference cracking ever so slightly. He leaned his head back against the cold stone wall, exhaling slowly. “She didn’t tell me why at first,” he said, his tone eerily calm. “She just… showed up. Out of nowhere.”The faint light from the torch above us cast long shadows across his face, and for a moment, I saw something raw in his eyes—something I couldn’t ignore.“She said she wanted to help me,” Andros continued, his voice softening, almost as if he were speaking to himself. “Said she didn’t want me to rot away in exile.
