Astrid’s POV

Her growl deepens as I push back. She feels me, senses the shift, and her fury erupts like a storm.

She turns inward, roaring, her claws tearing at our shared mind as she tries to maintain control.

The pain is blinding, but I don't stop. I won’t stop.

I push harder, clawing my way to the surface, forcing myself to the forefront of our shared body.

The wolf thrashes, her rage palpable, and I feel her claws scrape against our own flesh, desperate to hold onto her dominance.

‘Let me out!’ she howls, her voice feral, raw, ‘I will kill them!’

‘No!’ I scream back, pushing harder, feeling her anger tear through me like fire. ‘I won’t let you harm them.’

She fights, thrashing in her fury, but I can't

She needs help. It's clear that Astrid can't control her wolf. Maybe Killian should go to her father, Theron, for help.

Astrid’s POVThe cold earth pressed against my bare skin as I curled tighter into myself, the night air biting at my exposed flesh. My body trembled uncontrollably — not just from the chill, but from the fear that clung to me like a second skin. The pain of the shift still rippled through me, a constant reminder of the monster lurking inside.I squeezed my eyes shut, hoping to disappear, to sink into the ground and escape everything. The forest around me was eerily quiet, the only sound my own ragged breathing. I had no idea where I was, only that I had run far. Too far.But not far enough.Footsteps. My heart lurched in my chest. It had to be them — the attackers, or maybe the rogues. My mind conjured up every possible danger lurking in the shadows of this unknown place. My pulse quickened as the footsteps grew louder, closer. I didn’t have the strength to fight. I didn’t even have the strength to stand.I pulled my knees tighter against my chest, curling up as small as I could

Astrid’s POVTears welled up in my eyes again, a mixture of relief and guilt crashing over me. “Thank you,” I whispered, my voice trembling. Then my brows furrowed with concern as I looked at him. “But… what about you? Are you… are you all right? Did I hurt you?”He turned his head away as if he could avoid the question. His silence made my heart race with dread. Before he could get away from me, I pushed him to face me fully and that’s when I saw it — his right arm, the sleeve of his shirt soaked with blood. A deep, jagged claw mark ran from his bicep to his forearm, and the sight of it made my stomach turn.“No…” I gasped, my voice barely a breath. “I did that… didn’t I?”Killian glanced down at his arm, then shook his head, brushing it off as if it were nothing. “It’s nothing,” he said softly, but his jaw was tight, and I could see the tension in his body — the pain he was trying to hide.“Killian, it’s not nothing,” I whispered, my heart breaking at the sight of the wound. “Y

Astrid’s POVKillian’s arms wrapped around me, warm and secure, like a shield against the storm inside me. For the first time in what felt like forever, I didn’t feel so exposed. His embrace was steady, strong, and I could feel the tension in my chest start to unravel as he held me. His presence alone was enough to quiet the fears that had been raging in my mind, but it couldn’t drown out the truth that lingered between us — truth that had remained buried for too long.He pressed his forehead gently against mine, his breath warm as he spoke softly, “You don’t need to worry anymore, Astrid. I’ve found a lead.”I pulled back slightly, looking up at him with confusion. “A lead?”Killian nodded, his expression darkening with seriousness. “The Pack that helped us… they caught one of the attackers as he was trying to run. He didn’t get far, and they managed to extract information from him.”A pit of dread settled deep in my stomach. My voice barely came out as a whisper. “What did he say?

Astrid’s POVKillian shook his head, his tears falling freely now as he rested his forehead against mine. “Don’t be sorry,” he whispered. “You had every reason to believe what you did. I didn’t fight hard enough either. I should have told you the truth sooner, but I was too ashamed. Too afraid.”A sob broke from my chest as I leaned into his touch, my heart aching for him, for everything we had lost. “I blamed you for everything,” I whispered. “But you never blamed me. You carried all of this guilt alone. I should have known.”He held me tighter, his arms wrapping around me as though he could shield me from the pain that had been festering between us for so long. “We were both innocent,” he whispered, his voice cracking. “It was all lies. None of this should have happened.”I pulled back just enough to look into his eyes, my heart still heavy but lighter than it had been in years. “Can we start over?” I asked, my voice small but hopeful. “Can we forget everything and build somethi

Astrid’s POVAs we neared the dungeon, the cold air wrapped around me like a warning, and my steps faltered. The weight of what I was about to do settled heavily in my chest, making it hard to breathe. I was nervous — no, I was scared. Giselle was down there, the woman who had torn our lives apart, and I had to face her alone.Lost in my thoughts, I suddenly felt warm air fanning the side of my face. I blinked and turned, only to find Killian standing so close, his face inches from mine. His breath was warm on my skin, and for a moment, the world narrowed down to just the two of us. My heart skipped a beat. The closeness, the way he was looking at me—it made me forget, just for a second, about the darkness waiting ahead.“Astrid,” he whispered, his voice soft and full of concern. “Are you sure about this?”His eyes searched mine, his brow furrowed with worry, and for a brief moment, I wanted to say no. I wanted to lean into him, let him shield me from everything. He always had a

  • Reclaiming My Broken Luna   Chapter 322: Truth or Lies

Astrid’s POVI tried to keep my face steady, but her words struck a chord deep inside me. She did know something.Something about the changes I had felt, the darkness I had sensed lurking within me. The poison. It had been her weapon, and now, I realized it was more than just a means to kill me. She knows something else, something even I hadn’t understood.“You’re lying,” I hissed, my voice shaking with anger, but also with doubt. Her grin widened. “Oh, am I? Why do you think the poison didn’t kill you? It wasn’t meant to. It was meant to awaken something… darker. Something you won’t be able to control. You’re a monster, Astrid, and soon enough, everyone you love will see it too.”I shook my head, refusing to believe her. She was trying to manipulate me, to twist my mind just as she always had. “Shut up,” I whispered, but my voice wavered.“You feel it, don’t you?” she pressed, her eyes gleaming with cruel satisfaction. “The power inside you, the anger. Astrid’s POVI tried to focus on the world around me, to drown out her voice with the rhythm of my footsteps, anything to make my mind occupied with something else. But it was no use. My mind kept circling back to the same thing. The book.I hated myself for even considering it, but I couldn’t deny that I was curious. Giselle had said it would explain everything — what kind of monster I was, what I was becoming. And as much as I tried to convince myself that it was all lies, I couldn’t help but wonder if the book held the answers I was so desperately seeking. Maybe it was the key to understanding the darkness that had started to consume me. Maybe it would give me the answers I feared most. But did I even want those answers? Did I want to confront the truth, or would it be easier to turn away and pretend that Giselle was just playing with my mind? I had spent so much time running — from my feelings, from my past, from the wolf inside me — that the thought of facing it all was terri

Astrid’s POVI stared at the book in my hands, my fingers trembling as I continued to flip through the pages. I had always known Giselle was manipulative, a liar through and through, but this time… she had been telling the truth. The truth was here, written in the ancient pages of this book, and no matter how much I wanted to deny it, I couldn’t. My heart raced, each beat thudding heavily in my chest. This book wasn’t just about some random creature. It was about me.The next passage stopped me cold.“Relationships between Alphas and Omegas are forbidden. Such unions are immoral, unnatural, and evil. They go against the natural order of the wolf hierarchy. The offspring of such unions are cursed, born with an inherent darkness that cannot be tamed. They are known as Almegas.”My blood turned to ice. Immoral. Unnatural. Cursed. The words echoed in my mind, each one cutting deeper than the last. My parents… they had been forbidden from loving each other. Their union had never been

Astrid’s POVThe air crackled with tension as the rogue king’s gaze shifted toward us, his dark eyes gleaming with an unspoken challenge. Killian’s golden eyes burned with fury, his body coiled like a predator ready to strike. But the rogue king, Ardan, stood unfazed, a shadow of calm amidst the chaos.“You’re relentless, Killian,” Ardan said smoothly, his voice carrying across the clearing like a chilling wind. “But your efforts are misplaced. You cling to a broken system—a hierarchy built on oppression and blood.”Killian took a measured step forward, his claws flexing. “And you think murdering innocents and sowing chaos is the answer? You’re delusional.”Ardan tilted his head, a faint smile tugging at his lips. “Delusional? Or visionary? The Packs need reformation, Killian. The hierarchy you protect only serves the Alphas and Betas—those at the top. The rest? They suffer. They’re discarded like trash.”I clenched my fists, stepping forward to stand beside Killian. “And you think y

Astrid's POVThe air felt sharper, heavier. Ryder's words lingered, a warning that sent a jolt of adrenaline surging through me. "It's a trap."Killian's hand tightened around mine briefly before he let go, signaling silently to the warriors around us. His golden eyes locked onto mine, and without speaking, I understood. Be ready. The rogues emerged from the shadows like wraiths, their movements swift and predatory. My heart pounded as Killian raised a hand, signaling our group to spread out and form a defensive line. The moonlight gleamed off their weapons, but it was their eyes-feral, unrelenting-that sent a shiver down my spine. The rogue king's voice broke through the stillness, cold and calculated. "You've been followed, Cedric."Cedric spun around, his eyes wide in shock and fear as his gaze darted toward the trees. With the rogue king’s army surrounding us, and with his calm demeanor. It was obvious that he had seen us from afar. He was prepared to stop us.Only Cedric had

Astrid’s POVThe tension in the council chamber clung to my skin like a second layer of sweat. Every time I closed my eyes, I could still see Alpha Cedric’s smug expression from the last meeting, his words twisting the air with doubt and discontent.Killian and I walked side by side through the dimly lit hall, his golden eyes sharp and focused. Neither of us spoke as we headed toward the war room, our minds occupied by the same burning question: could Cedric truly be working with the rogue king? The war room door creaked open, revealing Ryder standing at the center of the table, maps and documents scattered before him. He looked up as we entered, his expression grim but composed.“Alpha. Luna,” Ryder greeted, bowing slightly.“What did you find?” Killian asked, his voice steady but clipped.Ryder straightened, his gaze meeting Killian’s. “We’ve been discreetly monitoring Alpha Cedric’s movements as you requested. There’s nothing concrete yet, but… there’s something off.”I frowned,

Astrid’s POVThe private chamber was dimly lit, the flicker of candlelight casting shifting shadows on the stone walls. The air was thick with anticipation as Killian and I stepped into the room. Alpha Damien and Luna Valerie stood by the hearth, their faces somber. Damien’s normally relaxed posture was stiff, and Valerie’s fingers were laced tightly together, betraying her tension.“Damien, Valerie,” Killian began, his voice firm. “We were told you’ve uncovered something about the rogue king. What is it?”Damien exchanged a glance with Valerie before stepping forward, his gaze steady. “Valerie and I had been conducting an investigation—secretly,” he admitted. “Ever since the first rogue attacks began to increase, we’ve been suspicious.”Valerie nodded, her tone soft but urgent. “The rogue king’s moves weren’t random. They were calculated, methodical. He wasn’t just targeting packs for power or resources; he was targeting the foundation of our system—the hierarchy, the unity that bi

Astrid’s POVKillian halted mid-step, his shoulders stiffening as he turned to face me. His brow knitted together, the golden hue of his eyes darkening with unease. “What do you mean?” he asked, his voice low, guarded.I hesitated for just a heartbeat before the words poured out, tumbling over each other in a rush. “Alpha Cedric,” I said, my voice tight with urgency. “At the council meeting—he stood up, questioning us, doubting our leadership, our decisions.”Killian’s brows pinched together as he processed my words. “What if… what if it wasn’t just him being confrontational? What if it was intentional? Designed to sow distrust, to divide us?” I asked him Killian’s gaze sharpened, his eyes narrowing as he digested my words. A flicker of understanding crossed his face, followed by something colder, harder. Slowly, he nodded. “I’ve been thinking the same thing,” he admitted, his tone heavy with thought. “When Andros suggested there could be a traitor, Cedric was the first person w

Astrid’s POVThe words hung in the air, heavy and ominous. I felt my chest tighten, the implications settling like a stone in my stomach. “What do you mean?” I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.Andros’s gaze dropped again, his shoulders slumping as if the weight of his confession was too much to bear. “If you suspect that someone’s feeding the rogue king information, it wasn’t me. It must be someone close to you,” he answered. “Since they know so much about the Pack, it could be someone in your ranks. Tell me, is there anyone acting weird recently? Anyone you think that is hiding something.”“That’s impossible,” I instantly blurted out. “All of us wanted the rogue king gone. All of us were helping each other to overcome this crisis. Why would someone betray us and work with the rogue king?”“I’m not the one leaking information to the rogue king,” Andros spoke sternly. “Who do you think it is?” The question that escaped Killian’s mouth made me look at him. “Killian, what are y

Astrid's POVThe air in the dungeon was damp and heavy, clinging to my skin like a second layer. The faint flicker of the bright light painted uneasy shadows on the stone walls, casting long, distorted shapes that felt as restless as the questions swirling in my mind. Killian and I stopped outside Andros’s cell, and for a moment, neither of us spoke.Andros sat against the wall, his posture slouched, his gaze fixed somewhere distant, as though we weren’t there. His face was pale, worn, and etched with the weight of regret he had carried silently since Rowena’s death.“Andros,” I said, my voice softer than I intended. It was impossible to ignore how different he looked now, like a man who had already resigned himself to whatever fate we would decide. His dark eyes flicked toward me briefly before dropping back to the ground. “What now?” he asked, his voice hollow, lacking the defiance I used to know.Killian stepped forward, his tone firmer than mine. “We need answers,” he said. “T

My heart pounded, each beat echoing louder in my ears as confusion and disbelief clawed at my thoughts. The Forsaken Amulet was destroyed. Rowena sacrificed her life to ensure it could never be used again. Why would the rogues come back for it? What could they possibly want with shattered remnants?Killian stood beside me, rigid as stone, his golden eyes locked on the warrior. “Are you sure?” he asked, his voice low, taut with restrained fury.“Yes, Alpha,” the warrior said, bowing his head. “We inspected the area as you instructed, to see if the rogues left anything behind—clues, weapons, anything. But instead, we found the fragments… gone.”Gone. The word echoed in my mind, a drumbeat of confusion. I tried to piece together the rogue king’s motives, but not

Astrid’s POVThe tension in the room was suffocating. The large council chamber, usually filled with calm deliberation, was now a battlefield of words. Alphas and Lunas from across the packs are all gathered around in one room, their gazes heavy with doubt and mistrust. Killian and I decided to call this meeting to inform everyone about the recent events and to formulate another plan for the future. “We heard that Andros is back, that he came back to the Pack with you, was that true?” One of the Alphas asked. I nodded my head. “That’s true. Although he is banned to enter any Packs, I made my decision out of careful consideration. While we are unsure of where his alliances lies, it would be safe if he is here with us where we could monitor him.”“Andros cannot be trusted,” Alpha Raiden of the Thunderclaw Pack said, his voice cold and unyielding. “He betrayed us once—no, twice. Do you expect us to believe he won’t do it again?”Several heads nodded in agreement, murmurs spreading li
