059: Son of a Kraken

Aethos is everything that a good Kraken King should be. He is handsome, strong, and incredibly arrogant. He is so convinced of his superior understanding of the world that any implication that he must be mistaken about anything is not permitted.

I would hate to be a servant in his court.

"Greetings, Brother," I smile falsely as I walk towards him, bowing deeply with a flourish into my most formal curtsey. Anything less would be considered insubordinate, even from someone who is known as being a little bit off. Insanity will only save you for so long in the Kraken court.

When he eventually releases me from my bow, I ask as calmly as I can about the nature of his visit.

His eye twitches as he looks down at me. He doesn't speak, but instead turns to his servant to do the speaking for him, as if the words of someone as elevated as himself cannot be spoken in front of someone with such poor breeding.
