Chapter fifteen.

~Aurora.

I cleared my throat for the nth time and straightened my back against the chair. All that Jessie was trying to tell me became obvious to me. Ethan and Isadora were no longer a couple.

Who would have thought all these were going on while I was away? Who would have thought Isadora would ever leave Ethan and for his best friend?

Keenan had been very supportive of me and Ethan's relationship, or was that just a front to snatch me away from Ethan, just like he did Isadora? Did they even fall in love with each other? Keenan and Isadora? Hadn't Isadora been in love with Ethan? I mean she still addressed him by 'love' so what happened? What happened?

A million and one questions ran through my mind, and I took a sip of my wine -for the first time since dinner- to keep them from escaping my mouth. Despite the fact that Isadora and I weren't best of friends, I was glad that she was okay.

    ~Aurora.“He will be your personal driver throughout your stay with us, feel free to call on his services whenever you need him.” Sam said as we got to the car parked by the gate of the guest quarters. With a slight nod, I said a ‘thank you’ before slipping into the car.The drive to the pack's hospital was quite an interesting one. The driver first kept trying to make small talk with me, even upon noticing my hesitance to speak with him, until I gave in, and we had a full-blown conversation about the pack and I learned a lot of things had changed since I last saw them.Well, why wouldn't it?     ~Aurora.I jumped out of the car once Elijah killed the engines and headed straight for my room. I had a long day at work and all I wanted to do was to take a long bath and sink into my bed, but, was left shocked as I didn't find Arne in the room. It was already evening and Arne was supposed to have been back.My heart skipped a beat as I tossed my purse on the bed and rushed out of the room. What was I thinking, leaving Arne with Ethan?     ~Aurora.Something had happened, I wasn't sure what it was. Something changed in me, in Ethan, again, I wasn't sure what it was but, I was certain it was a type of that I didn't want.It was certainly the type of change I didn't want.As I made my way to the guest quarters, I couldn't help but think of how in sync our hearts had been when I hugged him.
