Ava’s POV

The morning had been endless, each tick of the clock echoing like a countdown to my unraveling. I could barely breathe properly, my mind looping through the events of the previous night and the damning headlines that followed.

I just want to disappear for good and resurface whenever I have the courage to clear my name.

Where the fuck is Orion and why is he doing this? I thought he wanted to make things right? He pleaded for another chance, so why would he do this to me?

The harsh buzz of my phone had become unbearable, a relentless reminder that the world outside was feasting on my humiliation. I ignored every call, every text—except for one. Mason’s name had lit up my screen again at 3:00 p.m., and though I didn’t answer, a small part of me clung to the hope that he’d find a way to fix this. He always did.

If he was here, this wouldn’t have happened. He wouldn’t have left like Orion did. Why didn’t I choose him to come with me?!

By evening, I was still sitting by the win

  • Reclaiming His Bride   Mason The Fixer

Ava’s POVThe night dragged on as Mason worked tirelessly. His phone buzzed endlessly with calls, his sharp voice commanding yet calm, as he orchestrated a plan to salvage what was left of my reputation. Watching him, I was struck by his ability to keep a level head despite the chaos. It was something I desperately wished I could emulate.I sat on the couch, hugging my knees to my chest as I watched him pace the room, cufflinks clutched in one hand while his phone was glued to the other. His movements were quick, efficient, like a man used to operating in high-stakes situations. And maybe he was—Mason had always been the fixer, the protector. He had a way of making everything seem manageable, even when it wasn’t.“Mason,” I called softly, breaking his concentration. He paused mid-stride and turned to face me, his brow furrowed.“What is it, Ava?” he asked, his voice gentler now.I hesitated, not sure how to put my thoughts into words. “Do you really think we can fix this? I mean, this

  • Reclaiming His Bride   In The Storm

Ava’s POV Later that EveningAs the day wore on, the pieces of the puzzle began to fall into place, though the picture they painted was far from clear. Mason’s contacts had confirmed that Damien Cross had been at the same hotel the night of the incident, but his exact whereabouts were still unknown.Meanwhile, Rose is getting ready to release the statement that could shift the public’s focus. It wasn’t much, but it was enough to slow the tide of backlash.Mason and I were still in the private residence, going over the latest updates, when his phone buzzed. He glanced at the screen and frowned.“What is it?” I asked, anxiety twisting in my chest.“It’s a message from Rose,” he said, his voice tight. “Someone leaked the draft statement.”“What? How?”“I don’t know,” he said, running a hand through his hair. “But this changes everything. Whoever’s behind this isn’t just trying to ruin you—they’re trying to destroy any chance we have of fighting back.”The weight of his words settled ove

  • Reclaiming His Bride   Old Friend

Orion’s POVThe figure stood across the road, his sharp, unmistakable silhouette striking against the mid-morning sun. My pulse raced, and rage surged through me as recognition set in. Him.The man I’d been hunting for so long—the man whose actions had destroyed so much of my life—stood there, calm as ever, watching me like a predator assessing its prey. My fists clenched at my sides as the years of suppressed anger bubbled to the surface. The crowd shifted around us, people brushing past like ghosts as the world narrowed to just him and me. His lips curled into a smirk, a taunt that sent fury coursing through my veins. Why now? Why here? Every bitter memory of that day came rushing back. If he and his goons hadn’t beaten me to a bloody pulp and left me to die, I would have made it to my wedding. Ava wouldn’t have had to endure years of torment, and maybe—just maybe—my life wouldn’t have spiraled out of control. And then there was Chloe… I shook the thought away, my jaw tighteni

  • Reclaiming His Bride   Love In Crisis

Orion’s POV The afternoon hung heavy in the air as the conversation with Damien and his friend dragged on. I found myself almost forgetting the chaos that had surrounded my life recently, but just for a moment. It was good to laugh again, good to be surrounded by people who were easy to talk to, even if they didn’t know the whole story. We hung out for hours, the conversation drifting from one topic to another, the type of mindless banter that felt like a weight lifted off my shoulders. But as the sun began to sink into the horizon, reality knocked at my door once again. It had been a while since I’d seen or heard from Ava, and I was beginning to miss her. We’d spent the morning in silence, and now it was time to return. The driver was already waiting, and I reluctantly said my goodbyes. We promised to be in touch, though I had a gnawing feeling that the night might not go as smoothly as it seemed. The ride back to the hotel was quiet, the hum of the engine barely noticeable against

  • Reclaiming His Bride   One Night Stand With my Husband

Ava’s POVThe phone rang, startling me out of my spiraling thoughts. Orion’s name flashed across the screen, and for a moment, I debated letting it go to voicemail. My fingers hovered over the answer button, but I couldn’t bring myself to press it. Not yet. My mind was a battlefield of emotions—anger, confusion, betrayal, and something else I didn’t want to admit. What if this was a trap? What if answering his call meant walking straight into the jaws of whatever scheme he was tangled up in? But what if it wasn’t? What if this was my chance to finally get answers? But curiosity, anger, and the faintest sliver of hope compelled me to answer. I said nothing at first when the call connected as he asked how I was doing, the whirlwind of emotions churning inside me making words feel impossible.“What do you want, Orion?” I snapped, my voice sharp with frustration. “Ava,” he began, his tone calm, almost clinical. “We need to talk. I’m sending a private jet for you. I want you back in Ne

  • Reclaiming His Bride   Let's Show Her

Is he saying the truth? What if this is another trap? Ava thought to herself. How can she believe him so easily when he hasn’t given her any reason to trust him?“Well, I’m sorry if I jumped on your bones that night,” Ava muttered, her voice laced with embarrassment and a tinge of shame. “I think my drink was spiked. Someone wanted the scandal to happen by all means.” Orion’s expression shifted instantly. He stepped closer, his eyes locking onto hers with a heat that made her breath hitch. Then he threw his head back, laughing, not out of humor but relief—a deep, raw sound that echoed between them. “I was scared at first,” he said, his tone softening, the laughter fading as his voice dipped into something far more intimate. “Do you have any idea what went through my mind? What if I hadn’t been there? What could’ve happened to you?” His hand reached out, tracing her jaw with his thumb, tilting her face toward his. “And yet…” His voice dropped lower, rough with unspoken emotions. “I

  • Reclaiming His Bride   Renewed Vows

Ava sat at the edge of the plush bed in the penthouse, her phone pressed tightly to her ear. Her sister Holly’s voice, warm but teasing, crackled on the other end of the line.“They’re letting me out today,” Holly said, a tinge of relief softening her words.“Finally!” Ava exclaimed, the tension in her shoulders easing just a little. “Are you sure you're okay? Are they rushing this? Should I send Rose to come bring you back home?”“Ava, I’m fine,” Holly assured her. “I promise. Don’t you have something a little more important to focus on today? Like, I don’t know... your vows?”Ava groaned, leaning back against the headboard. “Don’t remind me. The words just feel... insufficient. How do I even begin to promise forever again when forever feels—”“Unreal? Complicated? A hot mess?” Holly teased, cutting her off. “Sis, this isn’t your first rodeo. What is it now, the third time saying ‘I do’? Or is it fourth?”“Third,” Ava said, rolling her eyes despite herself. “And technically, it’s the

  • Reclaiming His Bride   Behind the Headlines

The atmosphere was electric as Orion and Ava gathered around the guard’s phone. What they saw left them speechless. The first video featured one of their top clients, Mr Connor, addressing the camera directly. “Ava Miller is one of the most ethical and hardworking people I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. She doesn’t deserve this baseless slander.” The next clip was from a woman who ran a tech startup. “I’ve worked with Ava for years, and she’s never mixed business with personal matters. She’s an incredible leader and an even better person.” Client after client echoed the same sentiment. Ava’s throat tightened with emotion. “I… I don’t know what to say.” Her phone buzzed in her hand, and she answered it quickly. “Connor?” Connor’s warm chuckle came through the line. “Hello, Ava.” “You had something to do with this, didn’t you?” she asked, her voice trembling with a mixture of gratitude and disbelief. “I may have given them a little push,” Connor admitted. “You

  • Reclaiming His Bride   The Life We Fought For (Bonus Chapter)

Ava’s POVThe crisp autumn breeze carried the scent of fallen leaves as I stood before Richard’s tomb, dressed in a flowing white dress that billowed around my ankles. It had been over two years since the chaos, since the battles that tested our strength, our love, and our resilience. Two years since we lost the man who gave me—gave all of us—a new chance at life. A chance at love, at family, at something real. I felt a gentle press against my hand and turned slightly, meeting the warm gaze of my mother-in-law. Without words, I passed her a knowing smile and squeezed her hand back. We had arranged this ceremony not to mourn, but as a reunion. A day to celebrate Richard’s life rather than grieve his absence. Laughter and quiet conversations floated through the cemetery as familiar faces gathered. Holly stood a few feet away, her phone in hand, a small, amused smile playing on her lips as she typed away. I narrowed my eyes, curiosity sparking in my chest. Was she texting… a boy? I

  • Reclaiming His Bride   Fragments of Us

Epilogue Orion stood alone on the balcony of the penthouse, the cool morning air brushing against his skin as his thoughts drifted to the past. He had sold the mansion—the one he and Ava once called home. The memories that filled those walls had become too painful to bear. The haunting image of that particular morning played in his mind, unbidden and relentless. Ava in his arms, blood staining her dress as she struggled to breathe, coughing up blood. “Don’t talk, Ava. Please… just stay with me. Somebody get the ambulance!” His frantic cries echoed in his ears as the paramedics wheeled her away, her weak hand reaching out, telling him with her eyes to let her go. Despite the terror in his chest, he listened to her wish and watched her leave, helpless to follow. Uncle Theo had dragged him away, his voice hollow, urging him to pull himself together. “Ava, your wife, will want you here,” Theo had said. Those words, heavy with unspoken meaning, drove him to storm into the conference ha

  • Reclaiming His Bride   Chloe's Last Stand

Ava’s POVThe incessant ringing of our phones jolted us awake. I stirred, unwilling to leave the warmth of Orion's arms. He hesitated for a moment before reaching for his phone on the headboard. His body stiffened as he listened to whoever was on the other end. Suddenly, he shot upright. “What do you mean by that?” he barked into the phone, his tone sharp and commanding. My curiosity piqued, I sat up and watched him intently. “Schedule a meeting for today,” he ordered before tossing the phone aside and raking his hand through his disheveled hair. “What happened?” I asked, my voice cautious. He turned to look at me, his expression softening. “It’s nothing for you to worry about, just some… minor concern at my company,” he replied, placing a reassuring kiss on my hand. His lips then trailed from my hand to my arm, my shoulder, my neck, and finally to my ear. “Stop,” I said, smiling as I half-heartedly pushed him away. But before things could go further, my own phone rang. Orion

  • Reclaiming His Bride   A Bitter Rescue

Orion’s POV“Holly?” I called out, my voice laced with shock. Ava’s head snapped toward the door, and in an instant, she was on her feet, rushing to her sister. Pulling Holly into a tight embrace, Ava clung to her as if letting go would make her disappear. Tears streamed down her face as she sobbed uncontrollably. “What happened? Why are you crying?” Holly asked, her voice filled with confusion. “I just missed you,” Ava whispered, her voice soft but thick with emotion. Rose stepped forward, her brow furrowed. “Holly, why are you here so suddenly? Your bodyguard didn’t notify me about this visit.” Holly’s next words landed like a thunderclap. “That’s because he’s dead.” “What?” Ava gasped, pulling back from her sister. Her posture straightened as the words sank in. “What do you mean? What happened? When did this happen?” she asked, her voice rising with urgency. Holly’s gaze dropped, her hands trembling as she whispered, “It’s Dad.” She looked directly at Ava, fear etched

  • Reclaiming His Bride   Mason's Betrayal

Orion’s POVCradling Ava's limp form against me, her body cold and still, the past week came crashing into my mind like a relentless tide, dragging me back to the darkest moments. Chloe’s voice, as clear as if she were standing right here, played over and over in my head.I closed my eyes, fighting the flood of memories, but they came anyway. The first time she’d called after the scandal had faded—her calm, unnervingly calculated tone—it had felt like the beginning of something dangerous. Something insidious.“I want you there at six,” she'd threatened, her voice oozing venom masked as sweetness. “Or I’ll make sure this goes public. Think I’m bluffing? I’ve got a video that’ll destroy you, Orion. Imagine how she’ll react when she sees it. All those nights... How do you think she’ll feel watching our sex video?”The poison in her words sank into my skin, the memory of that call still fresh. “Remember Chicago?” Chloe had murmured, her breath deliberate, every word a careful caress. “I

  • Reclaiming His Bride   Between Two Shadows

Ava’s POV Mason.“What are you doing here?” I asked, my voice curious as soon as the door clicked shut behind him. He didn’t respond, but only walked further into the room.“I was just about to call you, but…” My words trailed off as I took in his appearance. He was still wearing the same turtleneck and coat I’d seen him in yesterday. In the middle of summer. I frowned. "Mason, it’s sweltering outside. Why are you still dressed like this? You could at least lose the coat. I know this is a corporate setting, but I would never question you even if you didn’t dress so formally.”Mason smirked faintly, brushing off my comment, but before he could respond, Orion spoke, his voice laced with suspicion and accusation. “Why are you wearing so many layers in this weather?” He stepped forward, his movements slow and deliberate, like a predator stalking its prey. “Orion,” I warned, my tone firm. “That’s enough.” Mason’s smirk twisted into a sneer as he locked eyes with Orion. “You don’t

  • Reclaiming His Bride   Power Plays and Betrayals

Ava's POV The morning sunlight streamed through my office window, illuminating the stack of damning documents on my desk. Photos, doctored emails, and fabricated accusations stared back at me, each one a calculated attempt to tarnish my name and shake the foundations of Miller Enterprise. Rose hovered nearby, her face pale with worry. "Ava," she began, her voice trembling. "This... this is catastrophic. It's worse than anything we've ever faced." I remained seated, my face calm and unreadable. “They’re emptying their rifles,” I said, my voice steady, almost amused. Orion paced behind me, his tension radiating like a storm waiting to break. “Ava, this isn’t just about you,” he said sharply. “This is bigger. They’re coming for the company. They’re coming for us.” I raised a hand, silencing him. “Orion, stop.” He froze mid-step, turning to face me. “How can you be so calm? Do you even realize what’s at stake?” “I do,” I replied, standing and brushing off my blazer. “And I k

  • Reclaiming His Bride   The First Move

The city skyline shimmered like a chessboard under the moonlight, each glowing tower representing a player in this corporate war. While Chloe plotted her revenge, the Jamesons were orchestrating their own calculated strike, a move that would send shockwaves through Miller Enterprise before the Millers even knew what hit them. The Jameson estate exuded an aura of unrelenting power. The sprawling grounds, with their pristine gardens and wrought-iron gates, were more fortress than home, a testament to the family’s wealth and ruthless ambition. Inside the mansion, the atmosphere was no warmer. The study, with its dark oak paneling and looming bookshelves, felt like the nerve center of a war room. Mr. Jameson sat behind the massive desk, his piercing eyes scanning a confidential file. The dim light from the desk lamp cast long, jagged shadows on the walls, amplifying the tension in the room. A glass of bourbon sat untouched beside him, condensation pooling on its surface. Mrs. Jameso

  • Reclaiming His Bride   The Masked Intruder

Ava’s POVThe moment I saw the figure step into view, cloaked in black with their face obscured by a mask, my blood ran cold. A scream ripped from my throat, piercing through the suffocating silence of the house. I didn’t wait to see what they would do next. My instincts screamed at me to run.I turned and bolted back up the stairs, my heart pounding so hard I could hear it in my ears. I made it halfway to my room when I felt a rough hand wrap around my wrist, yanking me back with such force that I almost lost my balance.“Let me go!” I screamed, twisting and struggling, my free hand clawing at the iron grip that held me. The figure said nothing, their strength overwhelming as they began dragging me toward the stairs.“No! Let me go, you son of a gun!” I kicked and squirmed, planting my feet against the floor and grabbing the railing, anything to slow them down. My nails dug into the wood, and I screamed again, hoping against hope that someone—anyone—would hear me.And I ask again, wh
