I nodded.

“I wonder what that was about. I’ll link the Hawks to check for clearance.” He mind-linked.

“We don’t have time to wait for their clearance.”

I bolted into a sprint, turning and racing in the direction Carys’ calling led me to. The streets were empty. A sheer contrast from Ruin’s memory, where the streets were flocked by people like ants. That just confirmed my suspicion that something indeed was happening in this world.
