"---You won't get in their way, you say?"
"Yeah, I just mearely had a word with Amanda. She's a transferee after all so I gladly educated her about every playboy in school that she must shoo away."
"---Hmp. You're really lax as a sister. You think I did something unnecessary when I threa---, ahem, spoke with that boy? Hey, that is so mean!"
"---Yeah. Fine. Don't blame me if she suddenly becomes a headline, like 'Agatha Moore' oh-so-prized sister fell in love only to get discarded by a damnable playboy!'"
"---No, no. What the heck are you saying? I'm not treating all boys out there as bastards and con-artists that must be massacred. It just so happens that I have a verrrrrrrrrrrryyyyyy high standards. You get it? It's different, okay? And it's normal to distrust people you don't know. I'm telling you, I'm not being judgmental!"

The frown in Misty's face did not vanish one bit even after she was already a safe distance away from the older man because even up from that point, she was still totally unnerved by the stare the man gave her. Those eyes were very muddy and malicious. The way he looked at her face and chest with suppressed desire made the skin all over her body crawl. Even now that the other party was nowhere in sight, Misty still feel like someone being stripped away by all the staring. She wanted to dig the man's hateful eyes. But, at the same time, she also wanted to get very far away from him as soon as possible and between the two options, the latter was what her body subconsciously chose to do. She had really been angered yet scared. Despite being a fierce and bossy girl at school, in the end, she was still a weak girl. More so right now that she was not under the protection of her admirers or brother. Aware of the man's heated gaze towards her, she couldn't stop the goose
"Sometimes I really wonder what skincare products you are using to become fair like this."The one who spoke was Misty who looked as imposing as ever even though she was only wearing a simple navy blue knee-length dress. She was clicking her tongue at the beautiful girl in a peach shirt and black knee-length skirt walking to her table. Misty's arms were folded below her chest as she sat prettily on one of the tables outside the Friendlies Cafe. Her sight strayed from Agatha's exposed arms and legs, to her face. She slightly gaped at the person's reddening face and questioned herself if it was her eyes wandering excessively and offensively or her words that made her friend plain shy."Misty, you arrived so early.""I'm never late. I have been raised by a strict military father who never missed the chance to remind me of what discipline is at every opportunity possible."Agatha giggled,"You're an oddball among early birds though."
"...Why?"The voice that came out from Agatha's lips was no longer as calm as before. Misty didn't answer right away, instead, she took a bite of her own chiffon cake. In her head, she was organizing her thoughts as she knew she had to make a sound argument to her best friend. Last night, she stayed up so late just to thoroughly study every angle and detail. But of course, her information was limited due to having focused so much about Aeron's case, and speaking of this scum man's case, she was very angry after learning that the police failed to seize him in the last operation they conducted against him. If her brother had not informed her about another party hostile to Aeron which allegedly managed to capture the man, she would have flipped the whole police station over in frustration. After all, she was probably the second most expectant of that guy's arrest, next only to the husband of her dead teacher. And oh, got side-tracked again.Anyw
As Misty talked about her doubts about Christine's family, even directing the conversation to how this point alone could be grounds to not believe the suicide thingy, she didn't notice the unnatural darkness that clouded Agatha's expression. The cold glistening of the other girl's eyes also escaped her notice. Misty was not aware, when she had been assuming that Agatha was carefully listening to her, the girl was actually having so many dark thoughts surging in her mind. The blue-dressed girl didn't know it was all triggered by her reminding her of Christine's father's existence in the world. They said, the first impression lasts... and because of this when people they know for so long suddenly change, it's always been difficult to believe or accept, mainly because of the already rooted impressions. Actually, this was only partially correct and mostly seen if the change is not in line with the first impression. For example, a criminal suddenly becomes a priest.
Outside of a fairly popular family restaurant in front of Blue Ink Publishing, two figures could be seen facing off as they sat at one of the wood-patterned round tables which still belong to the restaurant. Not far from the rows of tables was the cobble-stoned pavement where many people come and go. A busy street crowded with cars and other types of vehicles lie in between their side and that Blue Ink Publishing's tall building. The two, that time, were having a tense discussion. A minute later, however, the man wearing a neat black suit and red patterned necktie sitting in front of the enchantingly beautiful girl in blue and white school uniform suddenly froze in place. He stared dumbly at her as she opened her cherry red lips. The girl didn't break eye contact while speaking with the older gentleman who kept on having that silly expression on his face. Even after the girl finished saying what she wanted to say, that didn't change, and even persisted when he stood up and walked away
Saturday, two days before the new start date of the School Fest. After reading so many books about management and accounting, and trying her best to follow the bald cafe manager's directions on how to manage the cafe and the staffs, Agatha finally heard the system's notification about the skill being updated in her user interface. Even though it received the lowest evaluation rating at the moment, it still meant that her efforts finally paid off and this managerial skill she had been working hard for the whole month was eventually acquired and acknowledged by the system. It was truly something worth celebrating for. After all, gaining skill through this way was really time-consuming but really worth the effort and the feeling of accomplishment should be greater than suddenly having the system award to her. Oddly though, Agatha only glanced at the congratulatory message for a second, without the least change in her expression, before looking away. These days, she
Alina City remained the same. Among her citizens, there were some living their lives in a boring and repetitive manner, while others tread on a wire to survive and see the next day. There were people like Misty, even though not at all saintly, but were still living under the light. There were also those like Agatha who were rapidly getting engulfed by darkness. The point was, things had always been this way and where goodness laid was also where evil hid. It's a mystery why light always has to have a dark side like a shadow.Nonetheless, many things had happened this week. First of all, the same day when Agatha caused someone's death for the first time was when Misty visited Christine's mother who was currently imprisoned in a pure white room with many bright lights. The process had been mentally taxing but from the mouth of the woman who would probably remain there for life, Misty learned that the three most absurd gossips about their family she had heard from
Tonight, Paul suddenly visited and personally started questioning the other party about his trick. He was wary that the lad still has a few left under his sleeve. Well, there was no need to mention that Paul was not only curious as to how Aeron managed to survive his clutches that night. He could not wrapped his head around the idea that a mere high school guy was able to outwit him back there. After all, it goes beyond reasons how Aeron survived his onslaught and bullets. Paul was also curious how did he magically changed his face into another person's. Aeron persistently kept his mouth closed. Paul was honestly amazed by his tenacity. As someone pampered and raised with a golden spoon in his mouth since birth, it was quite admirable to remain tightlipped after all the tortures that left his body in very bad and bloody shape. Paul was also very annoyed though, as the information he was curious of was still not forced out of the kid's lips even after a wee
