Still can't get my head around it

Misty glanced at her cheap violet wristwatch and thought she still had time. She went on, "Do you have other problems? Opinions? Violent reactions?"

He hesitated if he should answer the question first, or bring up the issue of her saying the word shag. However, he remembered that there was something more pressing at hands. "...None. Just, I still think you and Agatha should at least do your best to avoid them, or, us."

Misty's lips hooked up. She was very amused by his hesitation when saying 'us'.

'I probably should look more into it. This guy is suspiciously naive. But, it doesn't mean he's trustworthy. Heck, he's still mingling with rotten apples so it's impossible to not be contaminated. What if he's really acting? And that in reality, he's the worst beast among his group since his face is the best within their pack of wolves?'
