Ice Breaker

It was the beginning of the wee hours in the morning.

While the people of the lab scrambled to their feet to inform their lady boss about the awakening of the formerly frozen specimen, Paul propped his upper body up with his two hands from the metal bed and took long and deep breaths of air.

His eyeballs then moved all over the place, scanning its interior and the people. Shortly, a very grim expression appeared on his face, he looked as though as he was barely restraining himself from doing again something he hated before as an educated person - swearing.

'... A lab... I frickin' ended up inside a laboratory?'

Unlike most people who found themselves in a similar situation before but just somewhere different, he didn't stupidly ask from anybody nearby where he was. His eyes were fully functional. And his years with the military trained him to never forget to study the situation and place first before doing anything, even speaking.
