Seated on the CEO's swivel chair, Brienne's indifferent eyes rested on the article showing on her computer screen, a report about her sister who was sighted unharmed in a seaside park within Western Alina.
Not a minute passed and the queenly woman stood up from her comfy seat. She made sure to contact the secretaries outside through the intercom to not let anyone come inside, even themselves, within the next hour.
After that, she picked up her phone to dial a string of numbers. She looked through the transparent glass walls of her office as she waited for the other side to pick it up. Beyond the sparkling glasses, the majestic sight of tall skyscrapers, billboards, rooftop gardens, and an unending sea of blue and clouds laid bare to her eyes. Yet none of it could take away the coldness from her delicate countenance.
