Dominic wore a puzzled expression and stayed silent, anticipating Kathy's continuation.

"You still harbor feelings for Carissa, and your anger towards her is fueled by feeling abandoned. The more you loved her in the past, the more you now hate her since her return," Kathy observed.

Dominic started to speak up, but Kathy silenced him with a shake of her head. "You don't need to argue with me. As an outsider, I can see what you might not. Every time you got drunk at the bar or Zenith, you would call out Carissa's name."

"Don't give me that look. I'm the one who got caught up in your situation with her. I don't want to use your connections to get back at her because I believe I can handle her childish tactics on my own," Kathy stated.
