Chapter 3

Jasmine ~

I woke up in a strange room. Wait a minute,I am alive,I am not dead,I jumped up in excitement.

My excitement lasted for a minute when I discovered something was off.I remember this room very well,this was the same room I found myself in when I was 29, I can still remember what transpired that brought me to this room.

*FLASHBACK*

I chose to have a long drive because I had left work extremely late and didn't feel like going home. However, in the middle of nowhere, my car developed a problem.

I slammed the tire as I descended from my car, cursing the car, "Why will you create a flaw in this dangerous zone, hum?"

I tried calling the mechanic to get this car out of here and my dad's personal assistant to send a driver to pick me up from here, but none of their numbers were connecting, and then my phone lost network.

Oh, dear, what the heck are all these? How on earth can I depart from here tonight? Since there isn't a single person on the street and I can't stay here, I'll lock the car so nobody can get in while I go for a walk to get a cab home.

Someone unexpectedly crossed my path in the lonely, dark road, , "Are you blind?" I yelled at him.

'I'm sorry,'

"Sorry for yourself, you blind fool. I wonder if people can't see in the dark on the road, junk." I continued to abuse him as I walked away, and in an instant, a group of armed men encircled me, forcing me to kneel.

"So you can plead?" One of them spoke, and I knew he was the one I had just called a jerk.

"Please don't harm me; just give me your price; do you want money? Please state your price so I can give you any amount of money. I said, but they all laughed at me.

“Do you think your money is what we need you mannerless bitch? We are going to have you one after the order and your lifeless body will be sent to your father the governor.“

"I beg you, please, don't rape me; keep your hands off of me." I fought back as they held me down and the person I insulted climbed on top of me and smelled like cigarettes while they touched my body with their filthy hands.

Oh God, please don't let a drug addict take advantage of me. Fortunately for me, someone arrived with a power bike, and the man got off without taking off his helmet, saying, "Let the lady go." He said, to their amusement.

"Who do you think you are? Do you really believe that arriving here by yourself on your useless bike will frighten us? While I get a taste of her, guys teach him a lesson.“

He was attacked by the guys, and one of them, who was holding a knife, hurt him. I fought to prevent the bad person from taking advantage of me when he knocked me out.

*End Of Flashback.*

This was how I woke up in a stranger's room.I didn't get to meet the person who saved me back then because I just left when Lavender called me.

That bastard Lavender,I am going to make you pay for what you did to my father,just watch and see,boom my phone rang and it was a call from Lavender.

She really has the gut to call me, immediately I picked the call she called my name in excitement just like she did years back when I was in this room

“Hey Jasmine,where are you? I have been trying to reach you.“ Maybe I am insane.I took the phone from my hearing and discovered I was holding an old phone I once used before Warren gifted me a new phone.

This can't be true,I ended the phone call and went directly to my phone calendar to check what date it is today and my eyes widened to see I am back in time,today is the second of February 2020.

What the hell is happening? Was I reborn or something? I remembered when I was pushed down the cliff,I made a wish to be given a chance to right the wrong but I never knew it would be granted.

Thank you Lord for this opportunity,I promised you I will not let it go to waste,I am going to make sure I get my revenge and lock up Warren and Lavender for poisoning my father and throwing me off the cliff.

Now that I am back to being single again,I won't leave here till I see the face of the person who helped me from those gangs that tried to rape me,in my past life,I left not knowing who my knight in shining armor is.

My phone rang again and it was from my best friend. Why is she calling again? Oh wait,she doesn't know I was reborn at all.I will talk to her normally.

“Hello Lavender.“

“Jasmine,is everything okay with you? Why did you end the phone call just like that?“

“Oh,I am sorry,I had to attend to something.“

“I see,so where are you?“

“My car got spoiled and I am at..“ I paused,there is no way I can tell her where I am right now. In my past life she came with Warren to help me home,that was the first time I met him,there is no way I am letting that happen.

“Oh my God,your car got spoiled? How can that happen,you just bought the car,text me the location,I am coming to get you home and make sure you are safe.“ She said,

“As If you mean that.“ I said.

"What do you mean? Of course I meant what I said,just text me the place you are.“

Shit,why did I say that out loud?

“That's not what I mean,you don't have to come get me,I am fine for real.“

“What if you are in danger,have you forgotten your identity? You are the governor's daughter for heaven sake,if you are in a bad place,people who hate you and your father might harm you.“

I know she is talking about herself because she hates me.

“Like I said,I am fine and safe at the place I am...“ I froze when the door opened revealing the least person I expected to see.

“Carlos.“ I exclaimed after ending the phone call and keeping my phone aside.

“You are awake Miss Jasmine,I brought you some food,fruits and some pills to ease your body pain from the hit.“

“That's a lot.“ I said looking at the stuff he got.

“I am sorry,I am not wealthy and I can't afford what someone of your status should be eating,please forgive me.“ I still could not get out from the shock I am having now

Carlos is my knight In shining armor that came to save me? He even spent a lot trying to make me feel better.

I wonder how he must have felt in my past life when I left his room without waiting to say thank you to him.I feel so sorry for him and to think that I have been treating him badly at work. I never knew he had good intentions for me,damn you Jasmine,you are just too blind to see the good ones,you chase them away and end up with those ready to kill you to get what belongs to you.

Come to think of it,Carlos has always been there in my worst moment,even when my father died,he was there when my husband was not,at the funeral he was also there, despite everything,the smile he is wearing now he still wears them on and talk to me at ease.

I feel so horrible thinking of the words I used on him,

*FLASHBACK*

"How dare you! Have you lost track of who I am? Never in your life bring your abhorrent self to me if you aren't here to perform your duties; leave my presence right away, you useless scumbag.”

“I'm really sorry, ma'am. Please allow me to clean up the area where the coffee cup was ruined, I will go get my cleaning equipment.”

*End of Flashback.*

“Will you go for fruit first Miss Jasmine?“ he said itching his hair,he doesn't know how to act around me because he is scared he might get me angry,tears left my eyes and I became so emotional as I stood on my feet and walked to him saying,“Carlos,I am sorry.“

“It's an honor that you recognize my name despite my low status but you don't have to say sorry,I am happy you are not hurt." I hugged him immediately saying,“Just let me stay this way for a while.“
