Gilbert frowned and was displeased. 'If she wants to go to Oceanville, then just go. Why does she need Peter to take her in? Why does it sound like she's flirting with him?'

"Take you in?" Peter was stunned for a moment. "Sure, my family owns many hotels in Oceanville. You can stay wherever you like," he said boldly.

"Would it be okay if I stay at your place for a few days? I want to meet Mr. Webb Sr."

Peter was dumbstruck once again. Before he could say anything, Gilbert suddenly voiced out coldly, "It wouldn't be right for you, a married woman, to stay at the Webb family residence. I'm going there for some business soon. You should just come with me. We can stay at a hotel."

"No, a hotel isn't safe. I want to stay at the Webb residence and visit Mr. Webb Sr.," she said, looking at Peter. "I heard that the Webb residence is huge and surrounded by mountains and rivers. The scenery must be great. Your family wouldn't complain if I stayed at your place for a few days, would they?"
