Mystery intensifies

Ryan's grip tightened around Sherry's hand as she reached out to touch the wall again.

Perhaps it was her way of showing her resentment. Letting Ryan know that he could not control each and every step of her movement. She tried to pull her hands away from his iron grip, obviously, without any success.
