RIVER

I was in my office doing nothing exactly when I heard some commotion from outside. I didn't want to pay attention to it at first.

But my office door soon badged open. My heart skipped, and I jumped to my feet. It was one of my guards. Seeing him made my heart calm a little.

"The alpha of the black blood pack is outside, " he informed me, panting really hard. "He is demanding your presence."
