***AUTHOR'S POV***Zina stared at the photos on her table as she tried to make sense of everything. The case had been closed for over eight months but she had the feeling that there was more to it than anyone could phantom. The bite marks, the claws, the crime scenes, she felt it was all related to that fire. She brought out the photos of the two students who were the victims of the tragic accident, Swayer Sapphire and Cruella D'vile. She stared at Cruella's photo again and a frown settled on her face. “I can't be mistaken. She is definitely the same person.” Zina muttered to herself as she stared intently at the picture. “What are you doing?” Zina immediately shuffled the photos together the moment she heard the voice before looking up.“Oh, it's nothing. I was just going through some old stuff.” She said as she tried packing them but one fell off. “You don't have to stop because of me. I told you to feel free to do whatever you want. Thomas and I are more than happy to have you
***CRUELLA'S POV***I watched as China lazily put on her sports wear, grinning from ear to ear. I felt like attacking her right there but I restrained myself. I needed to find out first how much she knows and how she found out about my involvement with everything. I can't let her tell someone else about it, especially not Principal Hai. If word gets out that I killed a human, I would immediately get kicked out of the academy. If they find out I killed more than one, I could get stripped of my powers and permanently banished from Greenville.I can't live like that anymore, I can't go back to being powerless. I can't go back to being an outcast, and especially not now that I have a goal to achieve. It seems I've been taking things for granted lately. I should have been training myself rather than worrying about my mates. I should have focused more on my mission rather than distracting myself with things like love. I knew I should never have given in to my emotions, I should have resiste
***CRUELLA'S POV***I was led into the office, along with Principal Hai and Detective Zina, my heartbeat accelerating with every step. When we were all seated, Principal Hai turned to the detective, her gaze calm and yet calculative.“Can you tell me what this is about now, Detective?” Principal Hai asked, breaking the silence.“I wanted to speak with your student about a case I'm working on, I just need to ask a few questions and then I'll take my leave.” Zina responded with a warm smile, but I could sense sarcasm in her words. This wasn't just about asking a few questions, it never is with these people. “And what case is that if I may ask? What has it got to do with my student?”“Cruella, are you familiar with these faces?” Zina asked as she brought out some photo cards from the file she was holding, while Principal Hai just stared at me, her expression unreadable but obviously expectant of my response.I slowly lowered my gaze to the table and unintentionally clenched my fists. Th
***AUTHOR'S POV******GREENVILLE - THE ROYAL PALACE***“That would be all for today.” Queen Sheila said dryly as she dismissed the royal counsel. She watched them leave one by one, her expression unwelcoming as they did so. She hated attending counsel meetings as she saw it as a waste of useful time, sitting around for hours only to listen to the counsel members dictate how they think she should handle her monarchy. She normally lets the King handle such matters but ever since he left for the Royal Hunt, she has been handling everything.“Your majesty, an invitation came by for you.” One of the servants stated while stretching out the neatly sealed envelope.“Decline whatever that is, I'm already preoccupied.” Sheila ordered but the servant didn't move an inch, her head lowered in fear of being beheaded for disobeying the Queen's order.“Y-your majesty, it has the Greenville Academy seal.” She stuttered.Sheila rolled her eyes before descending from her throne and walking up to the se
“What are you doing?” Carly asked as she walked into the room to find Cruella staring intently at a book while mumbling to herself.“Trying to memorize the memory loss spell.” Cruella replied without taking her gaze off the book.“Huh? Is there another test? I thought you already did that?” Carly asked as she sat next to Cruella.“I need to be certain I remember it all, word for word. I can't afford to forget a single word or it might become disastrous.”“What do you mean? Whose memories are you wiping this time around? China's?” Carly asked with a smirk which made Cruella crack up a bit.“I wonder why I never thought of that.” She responded but then remembered it was forbidden to use a spell such as that one on each other. There were a lot of forbidden things not to do in Greenville, but they're not in Greenville anymore, which meant she could actually wipe China's memories without getting caught. However, if her memories get restored, it won't end well.“So, what exactly are you doi
Mrs. Cushion checked her watch for the umpteenth time as she patiently waited for Cruella to arrive. She stared at her now cold hot chocolate which she had ordered the moment she arrived at the cafe. “What could be keeping her?” She asked herself. She was certain her letter had gotten to Cruella to meet up at the cafe, and she had even specified it was urgent but it's almost an hour now and Cruella was yet to arrive. Her phone suddenly rang and she picked it up hesitantly but sighed when she saw the caller ID. Ever since Zina told her about the possibility of the existence of supernatural beings, she hasn't been herself. Even Thomas noticed her constant alert mode and often wondered if he had done something wrong, to which she would always reassure him that he didn't do anything and she was fine.Mrs. Cushion finally decided to meet up with Cruella after giving it several thoughts. She knew it was a dumb thing to do, owing to the fact that she could be digging her own grave if Zina
Back at Richmond University, Kyle sat upside down on the bed while continuously throwing a tennis ball at the wall and catching it. The door suddenly flung open, making a loud banging sound.“You've got to be kidding me!” Carly snapped but Kyle remained in his position, unbothered by her presence.“Are you here to tell me we're leaving now? I don't think I can stay here for another day.” He said dryly while still throwing the ball at the wall.“How can you be so relaxed when your precious mate is in jail?!” Carly yelled and Kyle halted in his action.“What?” He asked just to be certain he heard correctly.“That's right. Cruella has been arrested by the humans!” Carly responded and in a blink of an eye, Kyle stood right in front of her.“What do you mean arrested? What happened?” He asked worriedly.“Principal Hai called for a gathering earlier today to let everyone know we would be staying longer than planned but she didn't state the reason, however I knew something was off when I did
“Why? What's in it?” Kyle asked with furrowed brows.“Well...”Cruella dragged as she recalled her encounter with the men.***FLASHBACK***“What is this?”Cruella asked with a frown. One of the men walked forward, a sly grin on his face. He seemed to be the leader amongst them. “This, pretty lady, is fun.” He responded and they charged at her at once.“Be still!” Cruella yelled immediately, her eyes glowing slightly before returning to its normal color. When she looked up, she realized that time had stopped for everyone except her. Her eyes widened in shock as she realized the extent of her powers. While she was going through the spell book Principal Hai had given her, she discovered the time freeze spell which she had once unintentionally used on Nadia. Back then, only Nadia was caught in the time freeze, but this time around, Cruella had managed to freeze everything around her, even the insects were on stand still.“Now that is some badass spell.” She chuckled before returning her att
***JASON'S POV***I stared at the queen with burning rage, her words replaying at the back of my head. “You must be joking.” I said through gritted teeth. She might have somehow caught my father in her trap but she won't be able to manipulate me the same way, I made sure of that for over ten years when I decided to move to the academy.“By now you should know that I don't joke with things like this. If you won't do it then I'll simply find someone else to court her—”“Stay the f*ck away from her!” I thundered, my wolf trying to surge forward but I pushed him back in as I didn't want to put my father in harms way. “Seeing how you're being so protective of her, I'm assuming you're already smitten by her.” She stated this with an amused smile.I couldn't let her know Cruella was my mate, I didn't want to give her any leverage over me. “I don't know what sick plan you have, but I'm warning you, leave Cruella out of this!” I growled, my eyes glowing bright gold but she seemed unfazed by
The dinner with the Queen has been peaceful so far. Cruella tried her best to stay composed and focused on her meal. She hoped that it would remain quiet until it was time to go, but luck wasn't on her side as Sheila began questioning her. “So I hear you recently enrolled in Greenville Academy. Where did you school before that?” Sheila asked and Cruella froze. She didn't prepare for any of this as the invitation came so suddenly and she knew if she said the wrong thing, she would give herself away. “I was homeschooled.” She lied and Sheila furrowed her brows. “Really? Your parents must be so protective of you to keep you hidden for so long.” Sheila stated and Cruella almost rolled her eyes. Her so-called adoptive mother didn't give a pigeon's wing about her existence, and was more than delighted to cast her away. Protective? What an irony. “Yeah, you could say that, your majesty.” Cruella responded after a while. She glanced at Carly who gave her a thumbs up before focusing o
“Carly, what are you doing?” Cruella asked Carly who has been throwing things around for almost a minute now.“I'm looking for the perfect outfit for you to wear. You need to look your best if you want to impress the Queen.” Carly gushed but Cruella frowned.“Impress her? What I want to do is separate her head from her body. I should wear something comfortable enough to fight in and not to impress her.” She stated, not hiding her resentment for Sheila.“I'm so sorry, Ella. I totally forgot about the whole revenge scheme.” Carly said with an apologetic gaze as she realized she had let her excitement get the best of her. She has never been to the palace before and knowing that her best friend got invited, she was more than happy to help her prepare, but the circumstances weren't as merry as her intentions.“I understand, Carly. I didn't mean to be hard on you. You could come with me if you like.” Cruella suggested, and Carly's jaw dropped. “I could?” She asked just to be sure.“You hea
“Harder!” Carly yelled and Cruella intensified her punching force as she kept throwing punches at the sandbag. “I still don't get the point of doing this. I already know how to throw a punch.” Cruella stated while keeping her focus on the sandbag. “I don't think you understand the stakes here, Cruella. China might seem weak but that's only because she's been holding back. Her father is a high ranking official amongst the royal counsel and she's had years of training. She would crush you at the duel if you should underestimate her.” Carly warned and Cruella turned to her. “The more reason why I should be practicing my spells or rather training my wolf. The duel is in two days and all I've been doing is punching a sandbag!” Cruella snapped and Carly rolled her eyes. “Actually all you've done is complain about everything and miss the whole point of this training.” Carly stated with a deadpan expression. “And the point is?” Cruella asked with furrowed brows. “Patience. You're so eage
Cruella stirred in her sleep, and her eyes fluttered open, her vision blurry at first but after a few seconds, it cleared up. She sat up straight while holding her head as she looked around and realized she was back at her lodge.“What? How did I get here?” She asked no one in particular. She stared at her empty bed for a second and almost immediately, the memories of the previous night hit her hard. She remembered kissing Kyle, and desperately begging to be touched, and... The door suddenly opened, interrupting Cruella's thoughts. “Finally, you're awake.” Carly said as she walked into the room. She stopped right next to the bed, her arms folded across her chest.“What happened?” Cruella asked, feeling perplexed.“You tell me.” Carly responded, her gaze hard as she awaited Cruella's response.“I... I don't remember.” Cruella stuttered.Carly creased her brows. “You Don't Remember?” She asked word for word.“At least not everything. I can't remember how I got here but...” Cruella trai
“Well don't just stand there, do something!” Carly yelled and they all exchanged glances.“What do you want us to do?” Kyle asked with a shrug.“Anything we do now would be seen as taking advantage of her.” Sebastian added.“And after what happened between her and that human guy, we can't do that to her.” Jason concluded and all three bobbed their heads in agreement.“Is it me or is it hot in here?” Cruella asked breathlessly as she ran a hand down from her neck, down to her boobs, in a seductive way.Carly groaned, obviously annoyed by the outcome of events. “Well, she's your mate, so handle her!” She snapped as she pushed Cruella towards them, Sebastian swiftly caught her and Carly walked away immediately, not giving them a second to say another word. She had a sly grin on her face as she did so. “You owe me one, Cruella.” She said to herself as she went over to the drink counter, and helped herself out to one.Cruella immediately wrapped her hands around Sebastian's neck, her gaze
When Carly and Cruella left the room, they ran into China who had a scowl on her face.“Well someone seems to be having a bad night.” Carly said with a smirk and China rolled her eyes.“I don't have time to waste on the likes of you.” China responded and made to walk past them but halted. Her gaze shifted to Cruella and she smiled, a smile that didn't reach her eyes. “You look better than I thought, for someone who got involved in an accident.” she smirked and Cruella furrowed her brows.“How did you know that?” She asked curiously.China chuckled. “Who did you think was driving the truck?” She asked and Cruella widened her eyes in shock but then her gaze suddenly darkened and she swiftly pinned China to the wall, her hands pressed tightly against China's neck.“You just keep giving me reasons to end this pathetic life of yours.” Cruella said through gritted teeth.“I'm not afraid of you Cruella.” China responded with a smile on her face even though Cruella was literally choking the l
Cruella sat on the grass, her head resting on the marble stone as she cried her heart out. The stone had a bold inscription of the name, Swayer Sapphire. “You're probably the only human who remembers me now, if only you were alive as well.” Cruella said, her tears freely flowing down her face. She raised her head from the marble, and wiped her eyes. She stared at Swayer's name and ran her finger through the inscription.“I'm so sorry, Swayer. For everything. It was all my fault and I know it now. You didn't deserve any of it, and I wish I could take it back, all of it.” she sniffed.“You probably hate me by now. Like Mrs. Cushion said, You're probably disgusted —”“No she's not.” Cruella turned to her side in shock and her eyes widened a bit.“Sebastian?” She called just to be sure he was the one.“I'm certain wherever she is, she's really proud of you.” Cruella turned to her left and her eyes widened even more.“Jason,”“Like we all are.” She heard another voice turned in the direct
Cruella stared at the bullet as it approached her in a surprisingly slow manner, contrary to her expectations. She moved out of the way and caught the bullet to avoid it hitting Carly. Again it was a silver bullet, and could have actually hurt her, had time not slowed down a bit. Cruella turned back to Zina, exhaled heavily then shut her eyes. When she opened them back, her eyes were glowing bright crystal blue and a wave of wind exploded from around her, enveloping them all in what seemed like a barrier. She walked closer to Zina and noticed the faint but slightly noticeable bite marks on her neck, which made her frown a bit. “So that's why you were able to figure it all out? It seems I'm not your first encounter with supernatural beings.” Cruella said as she placed her hand on Zina's neck. The marks began to clear off until there was no evidence left. As it did so, Cruella got a vision of a little girl crying in a car that had just been involved in an accident. The little girl wa
