CHAPTER THIRTY

AURORA'S POV

I am going to beat these drama queens at thier games!

They aren't the only ones who know how to put on a show and act pitiful just to get the sympathy of others.

My step mother stared at me with her mouth wide open. She had even forgotten how to cry. This must have come as a rude shock to her.

I smirked to myself. This is just the beginning. She is going to get what's coming for her very soon!

This woman is the mastermind of everything that happened to me I'm sure!

When my dad first married her after my mom's death, she wasn't very nice to me, but because I wanted to make her feel at home , I tried my best to be nice to her and to make her feel welcomed.

All I got in return for that was her betrayal. Now I'm not going to let it go at all. She is going to pay for everything that she's done. I'm here to collect on all of the debts. She had better be prepared.

"What do you really want me to do for you to see that I am in love with you?" I asked Aurora. I was really starting to get frustrated. Sometimes, she seems like she already knows everything and she's going to expose us but than at other times, she seems like she's still in love with but she's just upset..I really don't know which version of Aurora is the real Aurora anymore. "She's just insecure. There's nothing else that you can do to prove that you are in love with her!" Kate said. she had finally lost her patience and was speaking up now. I glared at Kate secretly. He should be thinking of ways he will kick her out of the competition! He's her father, she has to listen to him!" Kate said. "Kate, can you at least try to be reasonable for once? First of all, your dad is trying to do what's best for us without attracting suspicions to himself and us! You see the way Aurora has been acting lately? You think that Aurora won't find out if we plan to kick her out of the competition? Of course she's going to know! And when that happens, we will be the ones kicked out! Also, her mom was the former Alpha. Most of the elders don't like your father because of the things that he did. If they find out what he's doing to the daughter of thier former Alpha, what do you think is going to happen then? Please think for everyone. Don't go around assuming stuff!" I said. Kate pouted. I just hope that he won't turn me away because of my father. I knocked on my dad's room but my step mother Maria was the one who opened the door for me. She rolled her eyes at me. It seems that I've annoyed her so much that she's not even bothering to pretend to be nice to me anymore. I didn't care anyway. It is indeed getting tiring to be pretend to be someone that you hate with all of you. "What are you doing here? Are you here to mock me again? What you did when we had dinner wasn't enough for you? Why are you here again?" Maria asked me. She is really treating me like her enemy now. "Do you think that I have so much free time on my hand? Or do you think that you are so important to me? I'm here to see my dad. Now, if you'll excuse me" I said to Maria. "You are not even pretending to be nice anymore now that your fathe

"Step mother, do you really listen to yourself at all? You've been married to my father for years and I've always been nice to you. What makes you think that I'll want to get rid of you now?. Why didn't I do it when you first came to our family?" I asked Maria with an innocent gaze. Truthfully, if I had known that she and her daughter were such ungrateful leeches, I would have gotten rid of them long ago. But I didn't know. That's the cause of all of these problems right now. I should have gotten rid of them all a long time ago! "What are you even saying Maria?! Aurora has been nothing but nice to you and Kate.! Have you forgotten all that?! What exactly are you tr

How can he treat me like this? Doesn't she have any respect for me at all? She used to be a simple and quiet girl who will do whatever I tell her to do but she has changed! It's as if I can't recognize her at all. I decided to go look for Kate. Maybe we can figure out what we are going to do together. I know that she must be with Frederick right now. Kate really is obsessed with Frederick and she can't do anything without him. When I arrived at Frederick's room, I heard the both of them arguing inside. Tell your mom she should get her game up and stop provoking Aurora" "How can you talk about my mother like that Frederick? She's my mother! My mother! Shouldn't you respect her? "Don't talk about my mom like that Jason. She was only doing it for me. She just wanted to be treated as a step mother at least....at most.....at most...we will apologize. What's the big deal?" Kate asked. I know that Kate was just putting on a front. She knows that it's a big deal if Aurora says that it's a big deal.
