64. “Shut it!”

Naya's POV

I spent more than three hours at the business registration agency. Then from there, I went to visit Reilley who just came back from the trip to the Maldives.

We talked for several hours and, before I could know it, it was already getting dark.

As I entered my ride home, I wondered why Sophie hadn't called again. Had she given up on pestering me for my help?

Picturing her frustrated face made me crack up.

I glanced at my wristwatch just for me to see that it was past seven already. I had planned earlier to make some stew before going to bed, but I should have gone shopping first.

The taxi stopped in front of my house and I stepped down after paying him and telling him to keep the change.

A sigh of relief leaves my mouth. Even though I knew I was going to eat junk tonight, it felt good being back home after a stressful day.

I went to the door as the taxi drove away.
