CHAPTER 16

My mother concluded that I won't be going to school that day. I was happy. She gave me my breakfast and I had to sleep all through the morning. I missed classes because of my foolishness but, I still didn't learn.

I had a particular phone that my dad gave me to be able to reach him or my mom whenever I am left alone at home. I was instructed never to give the number to anybody, but I was very stubborn.

Maya my friend has the number. She called me that Friday night to ask why I didn't come to school, I lied to her that I was sick. She told me that one of our classmate's mother was going to celebrate her birthday on Saturday night which was the next day.
