She's going to be a bitch

Eleanor looked at her phone in frustration. Alpha Henry had hung up on her!

It pissed her off, but she wasn't surprised. After all, his reputation as cold and without compassion was not just hearsay.

Her shoulders slumped. Without Alpha Henry's support, her chances of victory would be halved! She was about to dial Ethan's number again, but then she saw the text message from him.

"Alpha Henry will attend the Alpha meeting. I'll arrange for you to meet. Beta Ethan."

Eleanor's eyes brightened. She needed to think carefully about what she would do to convince Alpha Henry to support her once they met. But before that, she needed to prepare a perfect outfit. Who could resist the tears of a sexy woman?

As she dialed Sophia's number, Sophia's shed sad tears. She knew Eleanor was a strong woman who was accustomed to protecting others, which made her hesitant to call Eleanor. Sophia couldn't resist cursing Thomas again. "That heartless brute, he's destined to hit a brick wall."

Eleanor smiled and told her to stop. It was good to hear Sophia's voice again, reminding her that she had truly been reborn.

She hadn't forgotten the reason for calling Sophia. They headed to the boutique together.

But as Eleanor emerged from the fitting room wearing a revealing dress chosen by Sophia, she saw a person she wanted to kill with her own hands.

"Luna?"

The two turned at the new voice to find Mia standing a few yards away. With her was one of Blackstorm's female warriors.

"What on earth is she doing here?" Sophia hissed, her voice going from excited to pissed off.

"I'm sorry, I didn't know you would be here. I didn't mean to interrupt," Mia said, stepping forward daintly, giving Eleanor a fearful look. "Please forgive me."

Eleanor held back her scoff. She looked like a dog afraid of being scolded. It was clear she wanted everyone to think Eleanor was a threat to her.

"What do you want?" Eleanor asked in a bored tone.

"I'm here to shop for a dress for tomorrow's party." Mia smiled. "That's a really pretty dress, it'll look great on you."

So Thomas was really bringing her to the party?

"Go shop elsewhere," Sophia said, stepping forward. "You are right, you are interrupting us."

The female warrior who was with Mia stepped forward. "Alpha Thomas asked me to accompany Miss Mia to do her shopping," she said, levelling a glare at Sophia. "So mind your words."

Sophia scoffed loudly. "Oh? Wow, how thoughtful of him." Her eyes moved from the warrior to Mia. "You must be feeling like his Luna given how well he is taking care of you."

"Back off," the warrior said. "Alpha said he'll not tolerate any mistreatment towards his mate. I'm warning you to stop or I'll report you."

Sophia's face filled with disbelief at those words. "Is that why you have the guts to show up here? Think you can do whatever you want and no one will touch you because the Alpha said so?"

Mia bent her head low. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to cause any trouble."

"God, I hate pretentious little bitches like you," Sophia swore. "Don't think we don't know what you really want. Do you think wearing an expensive dress is going to make you look like a Luna? Not even a dress made of diamonds could make filth like you look better!"

People were beginning to gather to watch the argument, and Sophia's words elicited a few gasps. Aware of the attention, Mia burst into tears.

"Why are you doing this? I only came to look for a dress, I didn't mean to upset you," Mia claimed, wiping her tears.

"Look at her crying," Sophia scoffed. "Is that how you convinced him to bring you back to the pack?"

Mia turned to Eleanor, who had said nothing to stop Sophia's accusations. "Luna, are you using her to publicly humiliate me and the Alpha? He is my mate, why do you have to act like I'm in the wrong? It's fine if you are jealous, but do you have to go so far?"

Murmurs broke among the crowd. Eleanor didn't have to hear them to know everyone thought she was the villain, bullying a helpless Omega.

"Jealous?" Sophia scoffed. "Of something like you? You must think quite highly of yourself!"

"It's okay," Eleanor said softly, placing a gentle hand on Sophia's shoulders.

Eleanor smiled at Mia and then held out the dress she had chosen to Mia. "Since you like this dress so much, why don't you take it? Consider it my gift welcoming you."

Mia looked at the dress. "Really?"

"Sure," Eleanor said. "You should wear this to the party. Since you are going with Alpha Thomas, you should look the part."

Sophia looked at Eleanor as if she had lost her mind. "Eleanor, are you going to accept that bitch?! She's playing tricks!"

"Tit for tat." Eleanor smiled, then looked back at Mia, "Take it."

Mia took the dress and returned her smile. "Thank you, Luna. I'll try it on."

The moment Mia disappeared into the dressing room, Sophia confronted Eleanor. "What was that? Why would you defend her?"

"Why are you so eager to be the bad guy? Leave it to me, I know how to deal with women like her." Turning, Eleanor approached one of the shop attendants who stood nearby with one of the dresses she had looked at earlier before insisting on white.

It was a black off-shoulder dress with lace detail. The designer had recommended it, but Eleanor had declined because it was too sexy whereas she had been looking for something much simpler. "I'll take this one."

Sophia forgot all about the incident with Mia. "Are you sure?" She had tried so hard to get Eleanor to choose an exciting dress to no avail. She couldn't believe Eleanor was really choosing such a sexy dress.

Eleanor had never been one to go for flashy dresses. She had a great figure, but the dresses she often chose didn't bring that to attention. If she really wore this one, it would emphasise her full bust and slender waist.

"Yes," Eleanor said, holding the black dress against her body. "What do you think?"

"What do I think? I think we should leave right away before you change your mind!"

Sophia was getting giddy just imagining the amount of attention Eleanor would command if she showed up at the party in such a dress. Thomas would look so stupid for bringing Mia instead of her!

"Let me try it on," Eleanor said, heading into an empty dressing room.

In the other dressing room, Mia looked at her reflection in horror. The dress Eleanor had given her looked horrible on her.

Her height and body shape didn't match the design or size of the dress. While it was perfect for Eleanor, who was taller and curvier, it looked oversized over her much shorter and more slender form. If she went to the party in this, she would look like a maid who had stolen her master's clothes.

"What's taking so long, Mia?" Sophia's voice came from outside. "Come on, let's see how you look. Our Luna was nice enough to give you her dress, you must be so happy."

Mia grit her teeth and cursed in her mind. She wanted to grab that stupid woman by the hair and thrash her around. Too bad she couldn't act on her true feelings.

Soon, she would be able to put the Luna and her friend in their place. They could mock and humiliate her however they wanted, but she would not back down.

Finding out she was the Alpha's mate was the best thing to ever happen to her, and she was going to do whatever it took to stay at his side.

A couple of the shop attendants joined in, asking her to come out so they could see how the dress fitted her. To make matters worse, they commented that Luna was so nice to give her the dress she had chosen for herself.

Reluctantly, she stepped out of the dressing room. At the same moment, Eleanor stepped out too, dressed in a black dress.

The moment Sophia saw Mia, she burst into laughter, unable to hold it back. She now understood what Eleanor meant when she said she would deal with Mia.

Jealousy overwhelmed Mia as she looked at Eleanor, to whom all the attention had gone to. The dress fit her well, accentuating her curves in all the right places. It was a stunning dress, and Mia wished she had chosen that one instead.

"I love this," Sophia said, stepping between the two. "Don't you, Mia?" She walked around her. "I mean, yours looks a little big, but who cares, right? You got it from our loving Luna, you must be so proud."

"It doesn't fit," Mia murmured, keeping her voice low. "How can I wear this to the party?"

"What do you mean?" Sophia questioned. "You thought it looked pretty, didn't you? And our Luna was nice enough to give it to you. She really likes it, you know. Are you going to throw it in her face?"

"No, of course not," Mia said, lowering her head. It wouldn't do her any good to openly go against the Luna. It would not do for the helpless and submissive image she was trying to portray.

"That's what I thought," Sophia said. "I mean, an Omega rogue like you can only ever dream of wearing such a dress, let alone being gifted by our Luna. You should treasure it."

Mia said,"I didn't mean to sound ungrateful. Thank you, Luna."

Eleanor smiled, "This is not for you, Mia. As Thomas' mate, I don't want other Alphas belittle Thomas because of you."

With that, Eleanor took in her reflection in a full-length mirror. She had never worn anything like it before, but it felt like it was made for her.

She looked like she was ready to take on whatever came in her way, and that felt about right.
