When the three of them got to the control room, Miller gave Thomas an apologetic look. “I’m sorry, Alpha. There’s actually no surveillance video.”

Thomas frowned. “What do you mean there is no surveillance video? Did you lie?”

Miller bowed his head, ready for his Alpha’s punishment. “Yes. I’ll accept whatever punishment you give me, but I did this for the pack.”

Thomas scoffed. “For the pack? You suggested that my mate was lying against Luna, how exactly was that for the pack?”

“No one, not even the Alpha’s mate, can offend the Luna,” Miller replied. “That is the pack rule. Mia changed her story when she heard that there is surveillance footage. She also tried to convince you to not check the footage. I believe that’s evidence enough that she was trying to cause a misunderstanding about Luna among the pack members.”

“Or maybe she is just afraid of her and terrified at what she’ll do to her once the entire truth is revealed,” Thomas seethed.
