Amy couldn’t believe she had let that slip out of her lips. What must he be thinking of her now? She slowed her steps when she almost reached her room, she was captivated by the guttural laughter she had heard on her way out of the dining room.

It had beckoned her to return and ask for another but she still had her senses intact. That was the first time she had heard him laugh and she'd pay billions to hear that laugh again. She almost hit her head on her door. Was she really daydreaming now? Reynolds Bennet was making her act like a high school girl.

From her windows Amy watched as Reynolds climbed in his car and left for work. She hadn't want to bump into him after what she had said. Fortunately, he left right after breakfast. Amy had been worried he was going to leave later than he had.
