Reagan’s POV

Today is the second day I arrived at Crest Moon Pack and all I can say is that I'm really enjoying my stay because Anika is always around to keep me company.

I didn't find her clinginess infuriating, maybe because she's my mate.

“I mean, you have to be in your pack and welcome me when my parents bring me to your pack as your bride. Not you going back with me like in your slave. Do you understand now?" Anika explained slowly for my understanding.

“No buts, Reagan, that's our tradition here in Crest Moon pack and I don't want my own to be different. My parents will never tell you because they think you will take it out on them,”

“You haven't said why you are here,” I reminded him with a cold glare.

“I wanted to tell you what I learned when I went out last night after dinner, but I couldn't find you.”

“So, what is it?”

“The pack members are expressing their woes; they said you are using your influence as the Alpha King to deny their traditions. I heard that the groom can not be in the bride's house before marriage. It's their custom that you pick her from your pack and welcome her in like a bride,” Dolphus explained and I nod.

“Yes, she just informed me now. Go and prepare we are leaving immediately when the day broke,”

“We are leaving this morning?" Dolphus asked, slightly shocked.

“What do you use your brain for? Of course, we have to leave as soon as possible so we can prepare to welcome her.” I answered and quickly shoo him out of the room.

When Dolphus left I almost cussed out loud because I was still so damn horny and Anika had left already. I can’t be shameless enough to find her, right?

Anika’s eyes lift up when she notices my presence. “Reagan, you are here,”

She beamed, clearly blushing but still trying to hide it. “Good, quickly sit down and eat,” Anika replied and gestured for me to sit at the biggest chair.

I think the chair was Limores’ because he was sitting right beside it and his Luna sat beside him.

They reserved the biggest chair for me not because I'm a visitor but because I have the highest title in the room.

I couldn't help but be surprised at how cultured they are. In my pack, I don't think we are as cultured as this, because Amoux, Dolphus, and I always eat together, and most times we don't even eat in the dining room except in the morning.

Our lunch and dinner are always outside in the woods after we hunt and kill any animals.

I took the seat chair and picked up the cutlery to taste the food that my mate painstakingly made.

Later, they all also started eating.

“I will leave two of my soldiers with you, they will escort her to my pack,” I said to Limores, then dismissed him. "and... Limores, You can stop calling me Alpha King. Just call me Reagan since we will be inlaws soon.” I asserted when he was almost at the door.

“Yes, Alpha Ki...uhm-R-Reagan,” I almost laughed at his funny face as he tried to obey my order.

I waved my hand to dismiss him and he left and closed the door firmly behind him.

Aside from having the highest title, I'm still the oldest in the house. Then Dolphus.

Anika's parents are still young. I would be exaggerating if I said they were up to 50 years of age.

Maybe that's why they seemed so scared of me.

After some minutes, Dolphus came and said we are ready to go.

I bid farewell to the Limores and told Anika that I'm expecting her.

In a dark cave, a masked man was seen sharpening his dagger. His outfits had no shade as the cave was unilluminated, but the cold smile on his lips was apparent and scary that even a blind man could see it.

“Has Reagan left the Crest Moon Pack? He asked his subordinate, his voice echoing sharply.

“Yes, Sir. The Alpha King just left the Crest Moon pack,”

“Good, start the mission.”
