Eira’s POV

He shook his head at me. “You are not a vampire, right?”

I couldn't help but roll my eyes at him.

Obviously, I'm not a vampire. Can't he see my skin and my teeth? Why would he even think that I'm a vampire?

“Yes, I'm not,” I answered and the crowd looked at me, all astonished.

“That’s why you didn’t know the importance of the locket. Vampires can die to get this.” The man argued.

“Can you just answer me? Can I give it to someone else?” I asked again, totally unbothered about what he was saying.

“Sure, you can give it to someone else. If you unlock it then it already belongs to you,” the young man replied, looking at me intently.

“Alright, I will pick the questions now,” I announced, picking three questions after silently praying to the Moon goddess that I shouldn’t pick the hardest ones.

It would be shameful after all my queries and I wasn’t still able to answer any questions or unlock the locket.

After picking the question, I silently prayed in my heart again and unwrap
