Both Eva and Severas dismantled the terrorist gondola crews, and sent all six of them plummeting to the ground one after the other. Each one smashed into the ground with a heavy, wet CRUNCH as they landed on numerous Chosen. Even armored, their bodies were no match against tons of titanium, and were easily crushed and mangled from the impact.
And all it took was the first one to send them into a frenzied panic. The utter destruction of their barricade combined with the falling gondola caused most of them to lose their wits.
Seeing the deaths of their friends, and the shock of the attack caused many of them to simply run. Mass panic had set in, and more than half of them ran towards the prisoner compound, where they could find safety in numbers.
Little did they know that their numbers had been reduced to a few hundre
Miko vs Colviss?! WAT
Colviss blinked at Miko after her ludicrous statement, and laughed. She found the idea of any child, human or Drogar, having any lethal capacity as pure fantasy. On top of that, Miko’s short, skinny frame didn’t help dispel any ideas regarding human frailty.“You? Annihilate me?” Colviss said. “I figured humans could do better than send their fledgelings to fight. Seems I was wrong.”“And you believe your size makes you powerful?” retorted Miko. “Or perhaps that your age does?”“Of course not. Ra’ventrii is clearly ‘smaller’ than me, but I know what she’s capable of…”“I see. So it appears that you need a demonstration first. I can appreciate requiring scientific
“Let’s go!” yelled Severas. She raised her blade high in the air and charged in towards the compound gates. Right behind her was Eva, blades drawn and ready for more.Behind her was the mass of Justicars and Security Force personnel, all of whom had run up and helped them mop up the remaining terrorists at the blockade. They all followed the Silver Justicar into the fight with determination etched on their faces. And as they passed through the broken and mangled gate, they saw the chaos in front of them.Teams of Guards and Federation combatants faced off against reams of Chosen. All of the Drogar were armed with knives of various length, while the humans were armed with various batons and sticks they happened to pick up.
Out in the broken and breached barricade, a small pile of dead Drogar suddenly moved. The topmost corpse fell off the pile, which revealed a barely living one among the rest of the bodies. His armored hand clutched at something - a corpse perhaps - and dragged himself out of the bloody pile. As he wearily climbed out, blood trickled down onto him from the corpses above. The surviving Chosen pulled himself all the way out of the pile, then stood up on shaky legs. His armor had been sliced and mangled and beaten in many spots and barely held together. He quickly reached for his side as it ached with pain. He had been slashed deeply, and was bleeding heavily just above his left hip. Every movement he made caused pain to shoot out of it.As he recovered, he looked around the field of battle before him.
Everyone in the courtyard, whether they were friend or foe, watched in absolute awe as Retholis exerted his power over the Chosen terrorists. Although he only brought in a fraction of the forces at his disposal, those few dozen were more than enough to utterly neutralize the opposition. Those who gave up were quickly confined with shock collars and ushered back towards the gondolas as prisoners. The rest were dispatched with callous ease, by the dozens. Even those who tried to run were chased down by Shock Infantry and sliced to ribbons before they could even reach the gates. And those who somehow outran the units were instead cut in half by the beam snipers perched on gondolas above.A number of those gondolas descended down to the ground, and all manner of medical technicians ran off in different direc
The Third Defensive Fleet sat in orbit high above Taloren Prime. The Swarmfather’s massive flagship was surrounded on all sides by numerous cruisers, destroyers, and frigates. Swarms of fighters flew around and patrolled the fleet’s perimeter.Closeby was the Admiral’s asteroid base, Tartarus. It too had its own patrol, but was otherwise sealed up and shut down.A frigate surfaced up from the planet’s atmosphere, neared the fleet, and hailed it through comms. It was met with a number of fighters, who after ensuring the frigate had the proper clearances, escorted it towards the flagship. As it neared, a frigate bay on top of the flagship slid open and multiple guide holograms helped the frigate settle itself onto it.
A Drogar family on Taloren was just sitting down to eat their nightly meal when the program they were watching on the screen next to them switched to an emergency newscast. On the screen, a Drogar with buffed scales and a clean, formal robe smiled at the camera kindly. It felt as though he was in the room with the family themselves. And when he spoke, his voice was firm and authoritative, but also warm and welcoming.“Apologies for breaking your normal evening ‘Cast,” he said. “But we here at Taloren Tonight have breaking news regarding the terrorist attack from a few cycles ago. And I must warn you - we are about to show graphic and disturbing content that may not be suitable for some to watch.”As the family doled out their food among each other, the reporter on the screen walked over

Retholis eased himself into a chair. It was the exact same one that he sat on when he accepted Admiral Chase’s formal surrender. In front of him was the exact same table, and the room was also the exact same. The difference now however, was that he and his officers were seated on one half of the circular table. On the other side were holographic mirror images of multiple Federation High Admirals. Among them was High Admiral Kovakis, whose lips were pursed in a modest smile. The outermost table was filled with all manner of government officials, senators, military leaders, and even members of the Empress’ Counsel. They all watched the proceedings with watchful, eager eyes. All around the room were a multitude of EyeCasts who were capturing the moment, and were broadcasting it out to the Empire in full.
